I really dislike Carl.

More so than usual.

OP posts:

driveway totally agree that daryl talking and being more open is off putting.

I guess I'd rather be stranded with michonne and daryl for survival purposes or glenn and rick.

can't believe there's only 3 eps left!

susiedaisy · 12/03/2014 07:37

Driveway. I agree about Daryl. I'm finding him a bit boring to watch as the lead character to be honest. He's fab as Ricks right hand man. But as the main character he's not as good.

PeanutPatty · 12/03/2014 08:06

Legs be honest we all like a man with an air of mystery about him. Daryl STOP TALKING!! GrinGrin

PeanutPatty · 12/03/2014 08:06

Legs? Blush
Let's

BlueFrenchHorn · 12/03/2014 10:38

Haha! peanut you hit the nail on the head there! It's much better when doesn't talk too much foes the whole mean n moody thing and kills a few walkers.

I think that's why I loved the whole Daryl and Carol relationship - it was so caring but completely unsaid. Beth talks too much and is dragging Daryl into talking for the sake of it.

Monroe · 12/03/2014 21:13

50 I spotted the cross too although to me it looked like a medical cross like the kind you would see on the side of an ambulance so I thought it might belong to the owner of the house? Some sort of undertaker? Maybe they bundled her in the car thinking they were saving her from the attacking walkers

Joe is definitely the one from the porch. Not good people.

I woohoo'd out loud when we saw glenn at the end. And I'd almost forgot about carols group. They are headed down the tracks too aren't they.

now we just need ricks gang to cotton on and they'll hopefully start meeting up soon.

And it's probably just me but I'm starting to feel thay are all stuck in some sort of bubble. They all seem to have been wandering around the same area of woodland since season one Confused There are obviously loads of towns and houses nearby yet whenever something happens they are camped out between a couple of trees in the middle of nowhere. Give me brick walls anyday.

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/03/2014 23:11

I don't think Darryl and Beth are shagging and hard he needs a hair wash !!!!

Beth def kidnapped

Agree it's a bit like Groundhog Day where they all seem to wander around doing nothing and not bumping into each other

Thought Maggie was sleeping covered in guts - no one does seem to do that anymore

ZacharyQuack · 12/03/2014 23:21

I thought Rick and Michonne found the sign to Terminus at the end of their last episode, so everyone except Darryl and Beth is heading in that direction. Darryl's going to have to pretend to be a baddie so the new group won't kill him, and I guess he'll end up in a confrontation with his old friends or find Beth held captive and he'll save the day.

I'm also thinking that Beth won't survive, she's mostly a plot device to help advance Darryl's story.

Where are all the vehicles? In past seasons, they never seemed to have a problem hotwiring a car, now everyone's on foot. It looks like Hyundai have stopped their sponsorship.

So if Darryl, Glenn and Michonne are the best people to be stranded with, who are the worst? Beth, because she's annoying and chatty; Judith because a baby isn't much use for anything; and Lizzie because she'd kill you just to see what happens.

PeanutPatty · 13/03/2014 08:17

Richonne and Cooooraaaaaal are also following the tracks to Terminus.

Is it bad to already be itching for Season 5 to air? The finale is bound to be a MASSIVE cliffhanger. At least it had better be a massive cliffhanger! GrinGrin

50shadesofknackered · 13/03/2014 09:16

Monroe maybe you're right about the cross and I hope they were trying to help her.
I would want to be stranded with Rick and probably Daryl although it's a close call between him and Glenn. The worst has got to be Beth and Judith, Beth coz she's a bit pathetic and Judith coz she's such a noisy little thing. Are they all on the same train tracks just at different points? If they are you'd think one party would eventually catch up to another one sooner or later, except for Glenn's as they drove 2 hours in the other direction so creepy Doc could save the world Hmm

Monroe · 13/03/2014 12:53

Wouldn't it take more than one person to bundle another into the car though? Probably not with good intentions although they may be driving around looking for folks to round up and take back to Terminus? Wild guess but it does seem like everyone is going to head that way.

Surely Michonne would have known about it or seen the signs before? She spent days roaming the area around the prison looking for the guv and the other groups don't seem to have travelled for very long or far before coming across them.

And also while we're on the subject of Michonne that scene with her walking amongst the group with her pet zombie on a lead has been bugging me. When Rick and Glenn covered themselves in zombie guts, as soon as the rain started washing the scent away the rest of them started noticing them. But Michonne could walk in the middle of them all with a zombie a few feet ahead and nobody batted an eyelid. Sorry but it's just been annoying me Grin

I agree Daryll is going to have to act bad in order to fit in with Joe's group until a run in with one of the others then he will probably save the day again

Maggie should have taken a page out of Bobs book and lay on top of the ice cream truck. Sacha has the right idea. Get up high. If the cruise ship / barracks plans aren't working out we should build some tree houses. With interconnected walkways. coz that will be easy Hmm

susiedaisy · 13/03/2014 14:44

Monroe I agree michonne was following those walkers she had on a lead but was at least 6 feet behind them and no other walker noticed. When Rick and Glenn were covered in blood the walkers were still looking at them!

MichonnesSamuraiSword · 13/03/2014 18:00

Michonne must have a special force field of awesomeness around her which even walkers wouldn't dare to cross...

I have thought long and hard about trees - every time they're out in the woods, I say "Why the hell don't they just climb a tree".

THe problem, I think is what would happen if a load of walkers swarmed around the bottom of the tree, how would you ever get down? unless Monroe can figure out how to make those walkways, and quick!

Also - how come when Bob slept on the roof of a van, the walkers passed by and didn't notice him. But when Glenn woke up from unconsciousness at the prison, hundreds of walkers were trying to get to him. How come it's one rule for one, then another rule whenever the plot needs it?

So far we have:

  1. Walkers can't detect you if you cover yourself in guts and act like a walker. BUT if the rain washes off the guts, they can smell you.
  1. Walkers can't detect you if you just walk like a walker, a la Michonne. Helps if you camouflage yourself among a couple of pet walkers. But for this to work, how come #1 is true?
  1. If you sleep among walkers, a la Maggie, they won't detect you until you move. But again, see #1
  1. If you sleep up high, they won't notice you and pass you by
  1. If you're Glenn asleep up high.. they will.
  1. Michonne can kill walkers by chopping their heads off with her sword.
  1. When Hershel was decapitated, his head was later found gnashing its teeth as a zombie. If this was possible, what about #6? (or perhaps their heads to roll around gnashing, but they're no longer a threat)

I think the writers should have written out some hard and fast 'rules of walker behaviour' and stuck them on their wall to abide by with all episodes!!!!

Monroe · 13/03/2014 19:40

Special force field of awesomeness. Like a ready brek glow Grin There have been a few times she's sauntered through a crowd of them. When she first brought the basket with the formula to the fence. She had a bit of blood and guts on her but not loads. Also after tge prison was attacked she was wandering through the middle of them all. I wonder if it's fear they can smell?

Re the head chopping, I've noticed recently she kind of chops diagonally down and through the head and brain rather than straight across the neck.

And I was thinking rope ladders for the trees? Easy to pull up to prevent undesirables following and lighter to string between the tree houses. wanders off to dind a hobby

susiedaisy · 13/03/2014 22:55

I'm pretty sure that When Glenn was unconscious on the roof he had his arm dangling over the side. That's how the walkers knew he was there.

HighlanderMam · 14/03/2014 01:30

Jokes :)

BlueFrenchHorn · 14/03/2014 04:39

The cast all seem to get on behind the scenes and have a great dynamic I think.

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/03/2014 11:11

Good rules Grin

Wickedgirl · 14/03/2014 11:47

Michonne.......the chopped off heads do still chomp. Do you remember the tanks that the governor had with the heads. Maybe they just don't zoom in on any decapitated zombies?

TooWetToWoo · 14/03/2014 19:51

Just wanted to share this Grin

undeniable proof The Walking Dead and Toy Story have the same storyline

My understanding is that Monday's episode is a belter - although possibly not for the faint-hearted.

Carlat86 · 14/03/2014 21:33

toowet that link is hilarious. Does anyone else think that the last series, ie 3 into 4, was a bit 'people exist'? Nothing seemed to happen forever. Even the guv storming the prison was a HUGE anti climax. On the flip side I have enjoyed this last lot of character development esp the creepy dr who can save the world - interested to see where that goes.
More importantly though I really want to see Maggie and Glenn reunited and Darryl and Carol. Will Carolgate be forgotten or will Tyreese find out what she did... Ooh so much going on but still - could do with a bit more action.

HighlanderMam · 14/03/2014 21:55

I'm excited!

Midori1999 · 14/03/2014 21:58

rallytog have you got spoiler info? If so, can I have it please? Grin

I'm a little bit in love with Daryl, nothing can spoil it, even him talking... I liked Michonne better when she didn't talk much though, even though I liked knowing a bit about her back story.

I'm not sure if anyone here's reading spoilers or comic plots, but there are a couple of theories about both the group Daryl's now with and Terminus based on things in the comics and I'm not entirely sure I like one of the angles, I think it may ruin things a bit for me as its too extreme.
