Calling all X-Philes! Weekly ep thread.

Following on from this thread, we're working our way through our X-Files boxsets by choosing a few eps from each season and watching one every Sunday night. Last week we watched Beyond the Sea but tonight's s1 episode hasn't been chosen yet - maybe Lazarus or Young at Heart.

So come, join us, and re-live the excitement! Sigh again at the forehead-kiss, weep at the demise of Deep Throat, marvel at how they disguise Gillian Anderson's pregnancy...

We all dyed our hair like Scully's, right?

I fancied Scully more than Mulder from day one, that was bloody confusing to an 11 year old girl going to Catholic school. Mulder, yeah I like him, he's funny, good-looking and all that, but Scully just drew me in. I didn't know if I wanted to be her or sit and stroke her hair all day.

Does anyone else get really anxious in the eps when then treat each other like shit? Like Bad Blood for eg, that really bothered me, when they were all eye-rolling and snarky to each other. Please tell me it's not just me!

Sygyzy was bad for that too. I hate it when she deliberately shits him out. Like he's there the whole time through everything and yet she still goes off without him.

And when mulder keeps things from her it's always "too protect her" but she doesn't need protecting she needs him to trust in her.

Ooh exciting discussion! Agree they're both... just... perfect . Don't mind when they're cross with each other though as it's still very passionate! I get annoyed when other men / women get in the way (although I quite liked the one in Never Again!)

There does always seem to be an element though of "if I can't have him/her no one can"

They prove themselves to eachother time and time and time again yet never quite make that leap.

They literally go to the ends of the earth to find eachother and by season 4 I think it's all in the eyes they just know. But continue to suffer the really buried stuff alone.

But who, really "investigates" love interests like that.

They always always dig up dirt on anyone sniffing round.

I've now just had to buy the DVD for the first movie. I had it on video but needed it on DVD.

I'm hoping it includes the alternative hallway scene.

I've also watched essence and existenz and now don't know what to do :o
