three, don't worry, I am a one man woman and it's Pot all the way for me (unfortunately, as I am old enough to be his mother). Never fear, Boris is safe.

raahh, your doc is speedy. Glad you have a bit of relief.

Nice DS to go & see granny! Hope he has a lovely time.

JuanPotatoTwo · 20/03/2014 17:08

Has he had any tennis players pass through his place in France?! Yes, I hope you have a good day tomorrow too. Never been to Brighton but keep being told how nice it is.

magimedi · 20/03/2014 17:13

No - just the tour de France!

If you ever fancy a day in Brighton - just give me a shout!!

JuanPotatoTwo · 20/03/2014 17:39

Oh thank you. I may take you up on that offer one day. :)

Tomic lost in a record time yesterday- not a huge fan but he looked so sad I felt kinda sorry for him.
Fed playing later and Murray in the middle of the night.

Mama1980 · 21/03/2014 08:08

Magi, I hope you have a lovely day Grin

JuanPotatoTwo · 21/03/2014 17:05

Think Gasquet has had his teeth whitened :). Or maybe he's wearing a gum shield. Or, most probably, it's my eyes. Looking forward to Thiem v Robredo. Tournaments are not the same without Pot though :(

Grrrr have to wait til tomorrow for Nadal's match. Angry

Poor Tomic- how embarrassingGrin- what will his dad say?

JuanPotatoTwo · 21/03/2014 19:17

Aw, Thiem lost. Good match though. Tomic's father will beat him, beat his coach/trainer, lock them both in the cellar and starve them to death :)

Well if he does that he definitely won't be at Wimbledon this year. Grin

JuanPotatoTwo · 21/03/2014 21:25

Actually, I think he's in jail isn't he? If he is, he'll have plenty of time to think up a suitable punishment. Think Dimitrov about to go through, Gulbis up next. Something has happened to me re Gulbis, I'm slowly approaching a state of benevolence towards him. Can't explain it.

Juan- I'm the same re-Dogsbollocks.

His little smile made me come over all maternal last week . Grin

JuanPotatoTwo · 21/03/2014 22:03

Maybe we're getting less discerning the older we get:). I don't mind do Dogs Bollocks I have to say. Anyone reading this thread who doesn't realise what our nicknames refer to is going to be seriously bothered by our liking for canine testicles and potatoes!

Yes, bet loads of people have dropped by, seen references to dogs bollocks and thought "uh oh, not the place for me" :). Am watching in bed now via headphones (because I am a nice considerate wife and don't wish to disturb the rhythm of dh's snoring) and it's amazing how much more you can hear.

This is a really strange match. On the face of it Gulbis is playing dreadfully, he's barely getting any first serves in. Yet he's somehow managed to level it at one set all.

Raahh · 21/03/2014 23:20

The Andy Murray bit on Sport relief is actually very funny.

Raahh · 21/03/2014 23:21

He's on the Mock the Week bit.

Raahh · 21/03/2014 23:51

Ernie is doing ok...

Raahh · 21/03/2014 23:58

oh fuck- the second part of Mock the week is very funny too. I refuse absolutely refuse to warm to Murray Grin

JuanPotatoTwo · 22/03/2014 00:15

Oh Benneteau wins. Shame really, Gulbis looked like third set was in the bag. Night all.

Word is that Pot going to have surgery on his wrist on Monday and will be out of the game for eight to twelve months:(. If it's true it's sad but necessary I think. I only hope he can find the strength, mentally and otherwise, to come back to tennis.

OP posts:
Raahh · 22/03/2014 12:37

8-12 months?! He's still relatively young- and players are, on the whole, getting older before the seem to be hitting their peak- but that is a long time to be out. I wonder why the recovery time is so long? No point risking damaging it irreparably though, so best it is done soon.

Of course, he might decide to take up flower arranging and give up on tennis all togetherGrin

He needs to get the Pope on boardGrin
