three, don't worry, I am a one man woman and it's Pot all the way for me (unfortunately, as I am old enough to be his mother). Never fear, Boris is safe.

raahh, your doc is speedy. Glad you have a bit of relief.

She's much better thank you Mama, had long chat to her earlier which was lovely.

First set to Gulbis. Bautista-Agut is wearing lime green - all I can think of is Orville. His peaked cap isn't helping me to banish that image :)

OP posts:
Raahh · 12/03/2014 20:54

Does he think he can fly, Juan? Grin

JuanPotatoTwo · 12/03/2014 21:05

Gulbis complaining about everything including crowd noise and a plane flying overhead. Umpire has more or less told him to just get on with it. :)

OP posts:
Raahh · 12/03/2014 21:07

Aww, poor GulbisGrin

JuanPotatoTwo · 12/03/2014 21:07

Raahh - Grin

JuanPotatoTwo · 12/03/2014 21:08

Oh dear poor old Carlos is getting it in the ear from both players.

OP posts:
JuanPotatoTwo · 12/03/2014 21:20

Now Gulbis's racquet has got it in the ear. And he's just sworn. Never mind the tennis, the antics of these two is making this match eminently watchable!

Commentator has just said "that would have been the icing on the cherry" :)

JuanPotatoTwo · 12/03/2014 21:36

Second set to Bautista-Agut. Or Bust a Gut as I've decided to rename him :)

OP posts:
Raahh · 12/03/2014 21:41

Well, he's going to be even less happy now that he's lost a setGrin

JuanPotatoTwo · 12/03/2014 22:20

I'm bored of these two now, I've turned over to Stan v Anderson. Stan's top looks like it's got scorch marks on it from the iron. And there's a topless man in the audience, who looks as if he might possibly be nekkid. And, no, that's not why I've turned over!

OP posts:
JuanPotatoTwo · 12/03/2014 22:22

Gulbis wins.

OP posts:
Raahh · 12/03/2014 22:55

Nekkid men in the audience. oo-er.

Ernests strops on then.

Some of the outfits they wear, make you grateful for Wimbledon's all white rule, really Grin Stan usually looks as though he's never seen an iron, though Grin

Mama1980 · 13/03/2014 07:14

Djokovic through, didn't look great though was totally outplayed in the first set.
Glad to hear she's better Juan Smile where's next for her?

JuanPotatoTwo · 13/03/2014 08:29

Stan is out. Beaten by Anderson who's having a good season so far. Rog through.

OP posts:
JuanPotatoTwo · 13/03/2014 08:32

Thanks Mama. She left Bangkok yesterday for the islands again, back to Bangkok in ten days and then off to New Zealand. I was lamenting yesterday that she hadn't arranged her travelling around tennis tournaments so her devoted mother could visit her :)

Bloody Aegon - who are i/c the Eastbourne tennis in June. Just had the ticket info through & prices have gone up. But it's not that, it's that there is no sign at all of who might be playing at Eastbourne this year. I often go to the quarter finals but a seat for that is now £35 (ish) & I want some idea of who might be playing. I know there will be drop outs etc but even Queens say who has entered.

I think I shall just pick a nice day & go with a ground pass. Last time I did that (some years ago) I had a great time, the besat bit being watching people like Martine, Henin & Mauresmo practice. It was like having a front row centre court seat!

It's such a shame the womens' game is so meh atm - it used to be such fun.

I know some men now go to Eastbourne & a couple of years ago both Tsonga & Roddick played & if I knew I had a chance of seeing players like that I'd go ahead, but with zilch news I am hanging on to my cash for now.

Rant over!! It's a lovely day here, if a little misty & I am off out for a good walk.

Mama1980 · 13/03/2014 09:35

How inconsiderate of her Juan Blush Grin Glad she's ok. Is she going to ayutthaya? It is amazing, it was one of the most beautiful places I visited.
If anyone is a Barclays customer the ATP tickets for sale at the O2 pre sale has begun. Have tickets for me and my eldest ds and youngest dd for two days both sessions- very exciting.

Raahh · 13/03/2014 13:24

very Envy of all the tickets and things.

i will content myself with polishing the tvGrin.

Anderson did well- but would like to see Federer through to the semis and more pics of Edberg on my Fb page .

if he does, he will climb up to 5th in the rankings. He's obviously getting over whatever it was that caused him so many problems last year.Or maybe,
he's taken the pressure off himself. For all we know, he's decided this is his last year, so he's just going all out to enjoy. Whatever the change, it's definitely working.

I want Raonic to beat Dogsbollocks. I don't really like either, but Dogs has greasy looking hair although this has no bearing on his tennis ability .

Tennis
Raahh · 13/03/2014 22:06

Dogbollocks took the first, Raonic rallying in the second.

C'mon Raonic half hearted

Tennis
Raahh · 13/03/2014 22:13

But if Raonic wins, he knocks Tsonga out of the top ten. Sad It's ages since I saw Tsonga play a good match. He's slipping off the 'should have won a big one' radar.

Raahh · 13/03/2014 22:32

And Dogs wins .

JuanPotatoTwo · 14/03/2014 09:59

So Dogs and Fed through.

It's a shame about the lack of info Muddled but if it's a nice day out with a chance of seeing some tennis (and there'll have to be someone there, why not go for it (if you can afford it).

Mama, I know - she's no daughter of mine is she? Still trying to persuade her that if she loved me she'd marry Pot so I could get access to him :). She did tell me which islands she was going to but I don't remember the name ayutthaya. I'm not a Barclays customer unfortunately, but will buy tickets when they're on general sale. Which two days are you going? Are you staying overnight?

Raahh, Tsonga seems a bit irrelevant these days sadly, he had such promise. And it's obviously Edberg who has brought about such a positive change to Rog:). The baby must be due before too long?

OP posts:
Raahh · 14/03/2014 10:40

ooh, yes- Fed's new baby. That might be a bit of a distraction, come RG.

and of course, the Edberg factor is all importantGrin to the Fedberg team- and I hope it continues.

DD1 is a Fairtrade councillor at her school- they are planning to write to Wimbledon to make sure the 330,000 bananas they go through during a tournament are Fairtrade. I'm hoping she gets invited to visit the tournament, and can take her mother to help the players peel their fruit Grin

(I doubt they will even answer the letter, but a girl can dream). Grin

Mama1980 · 14/03/2014 21:21

Benneteau looks like he'd rather be just about anywhere else right now...

Juan - think your plan sounds good, daughters have to have some uses after all Grin my eldest is 16 and watches tennis depending on whether they guys are 'cute' or not, nadal is a yes as is strangely dolgopolov raonic and djokovic are definitely a no. She's on the fence about potato :) we are going Wednesday and Thursday but I might have to send a brother with ds 1 the second day depending how my youngest is.
