three, don't worry, I am a one man woman and it's Pot all the way for me (unfortunately, as I am old enough to be his mother). Never fear, Boris is safe.

raahh, your doc is speedy. Glad you have a bit of relief.

magimedi · 30/01/2014 17:13

So sorry to hear that, Juan.

Doesn't shit always happen to the wrong people?

Sending you hugs & a Wine - it's nearly 6pm!

LetZygonsbeZygons · 30/01/2014 18:31

Oh Juan Sad im so sorry to hear about you DH. do they know what he has? soz if you've said it already, haven't read all thread but if you haven't its too personal to share?

Mama1980 · 30/01/2014 19:00

So sorry to hear that Juan I hope he improves soon ((unmumsnetty hugs)) and Wine

anonacfr · 30/01/2014 19:53

I'm quite new to this thread but I wanted to add a hug and positive thoughts to Juan.
I hope your husband gets better soon.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 31/01/2014 00:25

Just reading this now. Unmumsnetty (hugs) from me too. Really hope they can sort him out and he can start to get better soon. Remember to try and take care of yourself as well.

threebats · 31/01/2014 07:51

Just getting to this juan I am sorry but I forget what is actually wrong with your dh... I know you mentioned it back in the summer but I've a sieve like memory, there's far too much in my head - I forget almost everything I am told tbh... (handy if you want to make a confession cause I won't remember it after).
Can you remind me? If you don't mind of course.
I hope both you and he are okay this morning?
And you have put a downer on nothing. This is the nicest bunch of online forum seekers, just here on this thread, a common interest has bonded all so if you need a moan, have one - nobody will mind.

Anybody daring to watch the Davis Cup this evening?

Raahh · 31/01/2014 14:40

Sad -I'm not fussed by the Davis cup, really, but am sad that Jack Sock isn't playing for the USA. I'd watch, just to smile at his name.

And Murray is moaning pre-empting his loss that the court is too slippy. Hmm

Raahh · 31/01/2014 15:46

This weekend dd1 has bought home Juan.

Sadly he is not Del Potato, he is a Spanish puppet. I am not sure what we are meant to do to entertain the puppet, and my Spanish is limited to watching DoraGrin

magimedi · 31/01/2014 16:53

Is he the class puppet? Give him some tapas & sangria & let him get drunk & have ahangover for the rest of the w/e!!!

LetZygonsbeZygons · 31/01/2014 17:19

howsthings today Juan?

im watching davis cup. Tsonga and Hewiit.

didn't recognise arnound Clement (sp) without the glasses!

Raahh · 31/01/2014 17:34

magi- that is a definite plan. Think I'll join him. he is currently 'eating' mini cheddars.

The teachers clearly hate me. it's only 2 weeks since dd2 brought home Spencer bloody Bear. Now he was high maintenance.

Bear
threebats · 31/01/2014 17:38

Oh! tennis is on Pointless again.... Its on a roll on this show this week....
I actually thought your dd1 had brought our juan home raahh I was so confused there....
Just got in and pointless was on, didn't know Davis Cup was on this early? Got to go food shop before The Great Rain and Tides of tomorrow - you know, in case we are too scared to leave the house when dawn breaks in the morn - I have to have my vodka and coke here for goodness sake.

magimedi · 31/01/2014 17:42

My DS is 30+ & I do miss those childhood days but the one thing I don't miss at all is education & all that comes with it. Hooray to school & uni being over.

And we didn't have any sodding class Bear or other toy coming home back then!

Mind you when DS was about 8 they had to write a diary. It was during the miners strike & he wrote in his diary:

"My Mum thinks (name of local MP) is a fat Tory bastard "

His teacher commented that it was wrong to use the 'b' word, but that she agreed with the rest of Mum's sentiments. Grin

Raahh · 31/01/2014 17:49

magi- your post is the reason we need a 'like' buttonGrin

I had forgotten all about the bears etc and am very sure ds didn't get the puppet in year 3. Or ever. When I was at school we took home actual live animals. Except my mum would never let me have the class gerbilSad

Dd1 is very worried Juan is going to be bored Hmm

LetZygonsbeZygons · 31/01/2014 19:52

Has anyone noticed or is it just me that Rafas looking a lot like Santiago wotsit from the Musketteers these days?

and Zac Efron (if you've seen the trailer for his film) is reminding me of Stan.

Raahh · 31/01/2014 20:20

See, I can't think of the Musketteers, without thinking of this

LetZygonsbeZygons · 31/01/2014 20:20

Andy playing now, 2 sets up.

magimedi · 31/01/2014 20:29

Raahh Iwas thinking of Dogtanion before I clicked on your link!

Raahh · 31/01/2014 20:44

magi- I am evil. It really gets in your head. I am persecuting someone on the Doctors thread I frequent. She is ready to hunt me down and confiscate my laptop.

she loves me really

LetZygonsbeZygons · 01/02/2014 18:10

well done Wardy! switched match off as Sam was winning but this morn when hearing sports news Ward had won!

Juan we haven't heard from you, is everything okay?

threebats · 01/02/2014 19:39

Still no news of juan?
I hope all is well.
Tennis turned to [rugby] here today - Wales won - I can't bring myself to go on the six nations thread as it might turn to a bunfight - it might not - but it might so I am stopping here with you lot...
I live in Gorseinon by the way, for those that watched - that was our rugby club they showed - many a drunken incident I have got to say... Best not to say no more...
As I am also half French - yeah for France!
Satisfactory - now, how can I get Adam Jones to date me..? Giving up Boris might be a start but I can't bring myself to do that...

Raahh · 01/02/2014 21:32

The Bryans munch on presumably energy-giving snacks Quote from BBC website.

yea, because we couldn't possibly be losing without something dodgy being involved. Idiots.

Mama1980 · 01/02/2014 21:37

Also checking in to see if there was word form Juan, I hope all is ok.
Wards match was great last night, loves his reaction at the end.
Threebats- was rugby Central here too today. Thought the French/england match was great - wrong result but a great game. Grin I've lived in 5 of the 6 nations that play (all but scotland) so cheer them on by the amount of time I lived in each. My 14 month old experienced his four uncles screaming and leaping about at the tv for the first proper time- he was totally perplexed! Grin

Raahh · 01/02/2014 22:05

Mama I am also Juan and her dh are ok.

magimedi · 01/02/2014 23:09

I am also looking forward to hearing from the Pesky one!

Hope all is Ok with her & her family.
