three, don't worry, I am a one man woman and it's Pot all the way for me (unfortunately, as I am old enough to be his mother). Never fear, Boris is safe.

raahh, your doc is speedy. Glad you have a bit of relief.

How lovely you all are, thank you for being so kind and caring, and for thinking of us. Sorry not to have been here for few days. Dh in hospital now. It would prob be quicker to tell you what he hasn't got to be honest, but to précis - renal failure, dodgy heart, failing circulation due to veins being calcified (all connected to the renal failure), difficulty in walking any distance, prone to infection due to shot immune system. Despite all this, he manages brilliantly day to day - until a setback like this comes along. Which, sadly, it always does at some point. They're not too sure what's up just now other than there's an infection somewhere so we'll see what next week brings.

Anyway, haven't seen any tennis for what feels like ages. Gather uk doing well in Davis Cup though.

I don't remember having class bears or puppets when at school either. I do remember taking an apparently fit and well hamster home one half term. Let's just say he wasn't quite so fit and well dead as a dormouse when hol was over. Blush.

Is Adam Jones the big long haired one three? If so I can tell you where he sometimes goes running if you want to get your trackie on and join him! I also know where he sometimes goes to church. I'll swap you the info if you release Pot into my hands, and my hands only!

Juan good that hes being moniotored/seen to in hoz. were all here for you. Thanks.
hope he recovers soon.

Come on ANdy!

threebats · 02/02/2014 18:22

juan You are back! Smile
My sympathies to your dh and to yourself, what a rotten list of things to have to fight against daily. Why is it always the good people who seem to get it though? Makes me want to spit (If I was not such a lady - pmsl - yeah right). I hope this is a short hospital stay as he makes a grand fightback....
Yes, that is the Adam Jones I refer to - I can't tell you what it is but it is something (kind of like Boris really Grin) Firstly, it was his hair as its like my dc's but its got out of hand now - I actually waved back at him on the telly yesterday and gave him the thumbs up back... I just like big boys - I just do - I simply adore Meatloaf... I can't stand a skinny stick of a chap. I want a big boy.

I am going to do my very best to catch Tennis this evening. I have about a million things to do but I am going to try...

Here for you juan if you need anything.

magimedi · 02/02/2014 19:08

So pleased to hear from you, Pesky - hope your DH gets out of horsepittle asap & keeps you occupied enough so you forget MY Potato!

threebats · 03/02/2014 06:59

Morning all,
Missed the Tennis thanks to an oaf of a tutor who handed back an assignment I did 7 weeks after I did it (asked him at the week 2 point if it was okay? He said yes, he clearly had not bothered to read it at all so lied). I had to re-do it over weekend. Am only halfway through it. Have been spitting chips all weekend as I now have 3 assignments on the go plus case study clients coming over and the entire write ups for them. Not to mention a job and 3 dc's to see to - my house, its weeping from lack of actual care and cleaning. I hate the tutor - I have actually felt hatred for him this weekend... We were told at start of term that we had more work to do and less time to do it in than any other year before us us - they were not fibbing - my assignments can be upwards of 16 pages long... Manageable with coffee and matchsticks for eyes but not when you are told 7 weeks after completion of a subject, you got that all wrong love, do it again... Grrrr...
Have woken up with massive pain in my scapula and neck - I can't move my head to the right without feeling faint from pain - think its tension all trapped and painful. Bastards.
Sorry - a rant at 7am is pants when we've got juan and her dh going through so much worse...

magimedi · 03/02/2014 07:39

Does sound like tension, three. Hope it loosens up as the day goes on. Rant away - it will help to get it all out. How much longer is your course?

JuanPotatoTwo · 03/02/2014 16:39

three - too much tension and strife. You need a good masseuse - know anyone?! Tutor does sound like waste of space but remember he/she is only in your life for a short time.

Been to see dh today - hospital is about twenty five miles away and visiting doesn't start usually til 2. Fortunately he's in room of his own so I was able to get in early today. No news other than he's bored and restless - which prob explains why he insisted on telling me, in great detail, the plot of a film he watched last night. Bless.

I need your help now people. I've applied to be a driver during Wimbledon, and along with the application form they want a covering letter. I have no idea what to say. I think it's best I don't mention my passion for Pot, but apart from that I'm stumped! Any suggestions very gratefully received - my brain's not been firing properly for the past week. I also don't know if I actually want to do this -I mean, will I get to watch any tennis? Yikes, problems, problems. Thank you for any ideas.

OP posts:
magimedi · 03/02/2014 16:52

I am sure you will only be allowed to drive female tennis players - for sure!!!!!

Seriously, I would put down how long I'd been driving for, experience of London traffic, any local knowledge, good at coping if the unexpected comes up, calm, reliable & discreet. The latter as you never know what goss you may here (and if you don't tell me I will be livid).

So sorry DH is bored - but that's usually a sign that people are getting a bit better. Cross fingers he'll be out soon.

LetZygonsbeZygons · 03/02/2014 17:33

Three, sobs for you, and sympathy. take it 5 mins at a time, delegate housework and remember house wont collapse if work left a bit Brew.

Juan hopefully your DH on the mend now and we could all give you a reference!!

and as Magi says, we want all the goss!

well done team GB for the Davis Cup win! whos in the Italian team apart from Fognini? Ive gone blank.

Raahh · 03/02/2014 18:42

ooooooh Juan Envy.

That is amazing. What languages can you speak? I'd get mugging up on Spanish now, even if you can only say 'can I rub that better for you, sir' .

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 03/02/2014 18:44

magi's advice is good. Definitely don't mention pot. And don't mention you are going to be PMing us with all the goss. Glad you got in to see your DH though.

This thread is a complete jinx for neck/shoulder injuries. That's you, me and Raahh now, threebats. You'd better hurry up and get qualified before we all fall apart.

No idea about the Italian team Zygons. Can't think of a single player. Possibly there's someone obvious that I'm missing.

magimedi · 03/02/2014 20:02

Oooooooh - languages would be another great positive - tell them that you can say:

"Te queiro cojer " - especially if El P gets a 'ride' Wink with you!!!!!!!!

JuanPotatoTwo · 03/02/2014 20:57

Thanks for ideas! What does whatever it was you said mean muddled? Is it something like "I'm a past-it old bag but my friend muddled is hot?" . I hadn't even thought about languages, that's a good one. I doubt I'll get through - the selection criteria sounds very steep - but might as well give it a go? I'm also thinking, if i do get through, I might only be trusted with officials and linesmen (which is probably wise!).

Zygons - Seppi and Volandri in Italian team. Can't remember who last one is?

OP posts:
magimedi · 03/02/2014 22:33

It means:

"I want to fuck you" (In Spanish)

I thought it might come in handy, in case you needed to verbalise!!!!! Grin

Personally, I would only trust you with ball kids!!!!!!

(And am not even sure about their safety!)

Raahh · 03/02/2014 22:42

magimedi · 03/02/2014 22:50

Didn't Andy do well? And James Ward?

Hope BBC show the Italian leg of the Davis cup.

Reminds me of the time we told my friend the best way to chat up the French girl at the bar was to go up to her and tell her 'J'ai un tres petit zizi'. He didn't find it as funny as we did. The girl was unimpressed.

magimedi · 03/02/2014 22:59

When ever I walk past a Zizi pizza place in UK I snigger, childishly!

Mind you, it's not the size that matters, it's what you do with it!!!!!!!!

Bon soir, tout mon tennis playing amis! A demain!

threebats · 04/02/2014 17:52

juan What magi said about the driving thing - you've got to get middle Saturday off though or store Boris in the boot of the car for me..?
Preferably naked with the keys to the broom cupboard between his teeth...
Good luck!
Happy to hear you dh is okay if bored... Bored is good actually, it means he is getting back to himself a bit and ready to come home.

Got my tutor to do my back today - it still hurts like hell and while he was doing it? Sweet Jesus, the pain... But I should be able to get to sleep tonight. I have a knot between my shoulder blades the size of a flipping tennis ball Tennis
I have sorted out the niggles today with course and I have applied for the HND degree starting September and running for 2 years - at my tender age, eh Grin

JuanPotatoTwo · 04/02/2014 21:56

Evening all, hope things are good.

Dh not so good today :(. Docs still not giving out much but I think it's cos they genuinely don't know. They keep saying his infection markers are high - we knew that last week. And why aren't they getting any lower?

Raahh and Muddled you are both naughty children and I will see you after class. "I want to fuck you" indeed . Although, to look for the positives in your behaviour, you never know when a phrase may come in handy I guess... And I suppose there's no need to ask what "zizi" means? Grin. Clay hope your shoulder's feeling better? three sounds like you've had a productive day, I think it's great you have a plan and you're going for it - hope you get some sleep.

I hear Djok's going to be making an honest woman of Jelena before too long (couple of months I believe). I hope none of you have forgotten we're going to the wedding as MN ambassadors, and our outfits are to be of our own choosing, but in shades of Wimbledon green and purple?

Can't decide whether to send the driving application off - what do you lot reckon? Im interested in everybody's opinion except muddled's. Muddled, if Pot knew you used filthy expressions like that and I'll be snitching first chance i get he'd be straight on the blower to his mate the Pope. And then you'd be shit out of luck

On the one hand I keep telling myself it would be an interesting experience (and a possible opportunity to kidnap Boris). On the other hand I keep wondering how much tennis will I miss, what does the uniform look like - and will I have to drive stroppy officials?! These are naturally all important considerations. Although, to be honest, the application procedure is so bloody involved it's like I'm applying to be senior bodyguard to the Prime Minister, so I prob don't stand a chance of getting through.

Have good days tomorrow.

OP posts:
magimedi · 04/02/2014 22:29

Sorry to hear about DH, Pesky. Hope the docs can figure something out - but I far prefer a Dr saying they don't know rather than trying to be God.

If Pot's mate really is the pope (& it's not you being awkward) I may have to bow out gracefully - I am not v keen on Il Pappa!!

Raahh · 04/02/2014 22:47

Evening Juan and magi

Juan- hope they work out what is going on with your DH - it's horrible not knowing.

We still have Juan the Spanish puppet. I feel very sorry for him. DD1 is a terrible host. She also doesn't restrict his screen time, and has fed him a terrible diet.

This will reflect very badly on me, I fear. Grin

Tennis next week- Buenos Aires and Rotterdam, the main ones. Wonder why Potato isn't playing in Argentina (and I burst into the song from Evita, every time I think 'Buenos Aires' Grin)

Tennis

exercises refreshing finger

magimedi · 04/02/2014 22:51

Potato has a bad wrist & is in USA for treatment.

Have you still not given that poor puppet some sangria? Shame on you Grin

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 04/02/2014 23:01

Well as long as Juan has been watching good quality drama, Raahh there's no need to restrict his screen time.

Sorry to hear about your DH Juan. As annoying as it is I reckon magi is right about saying they don't know rather than trying to pretend they do.

Shoulder currently getting worse. Been Ok for weeks, got signed off by physio a week or so again, then injured it in the high risk activity of brushing my teeth.

And no you don't need to look up the meaning of the word zizi. I reckon you've probably guessed it.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 04/02/2014 23:04

Erm, agreeing with magi is not annoying, doctors saying they don't know is. That didn't come out quite as I meant it.
