New Emmerdale Thread, will Charity get her way!!!!

Yikes, I hope not, poor Sam looks so bewildered at the moment, wonder how long it will go on for, hopefully not that long that we will give up caring what will happen.

Strawdolly that would have definitely been aversion therapy. Am surprised you could ever face a soap again after that.

I think tonight's Emmerdale could even out-depress Eastenders though.

I hate this storyline. I was just saying over on the Corrie thread that I might give up the soaps and start watching decent television. I stopped watching Eastenders last year which had historically been my favourite soap and I've been watching it for nearly 30 years (which is nearly my whole life) and I didn't miss it. Might have to do tea me got Emmerdale. It's rubbish at the moment. Don't care about Leyla and boring Alicia and David or Vanessa or the vicar or any of it.

ah here, this is just getting stupid now, I'm nearly at the point of giving up, what a load of crap, Nugget it's so unbelievable isn't it, enough of them know now so the police would have to take it seriously

I've resolved to give up from next Monday. I want to see Hayley's funeral on Corrie and then that's it! Finished!

I'm very close to calling it a day and stopping watching. The only characters I like are Zak, Lisa, Moira and Cain (who's off soon). The writing is as terrible as most of the characters.

I don't know for def about Cain. Just that people mentioned it on this thread and that's all I know.

Val was saying that Ian had tried to push her to re-start their affair but while she was in his car told him absolutely not because she loved Eric. Eric said he hadn't seen much sign of her loving him of late - being moody and evasive and not even sleeping in the same bed etc. It's just all so irritating though. I just don't care.

And now Bernice (who I loathe) has the hots for farmer James (who has clearly been using a plank of wood in his method acting practice). Megan seems fully fit again after her burns and major smoke inhalation Hmm and boring Layla is back. Yawnnnnnn. I'm giving it another 2 weeks and I'm out.

I agree, I wish Val would just stop fucking about. I know they have to string things out in soaps with folk not telling other folk whatever's wrong and whatnot, but FFS. Perhaps if the writers stopped to think what it's like for the viewers having to endure such irritations they'd think twice about putting them in. Having said that I don't envy them having to think up interesting stuff to put on the telly five nights a week or however often it's on.

Emmerdale went through a phase as being one of the best soaps.The Arron and Marcus assisted suicide plot was a good example but I think recently the story lines have been very poor.The script writers should hang their head in shame because they will be receiving a good salary and coming up with a load of crap.
I have watch Emmerdale for many many years and think they would be better going back to two episode a week with a good strong story lines.
P.S. I hope Declan doesn't give Charity any of the insurance money when it comes through!

I think he was fearing for his children's safety, Coco (although I stand to be corrected, I never see all of it because I'm doing other things when it's on - that's how I'm not quite as fed up as the rest of you .... yet Wink)

So Val will tell an eighteen yr old girl who used to work for her that she might be HIV positive but couldn't tell her sister or her husband.This started out and could have been a good story line but no they decided to ruin it .

Can't remember SpottyTeacakes, I thought Eric insisted on a dna test, I agree about the hiv storyline, it could have been so much better, thought Jimmy and Bernice were funny tonight Smile, I'm not loving the new Bartletts at all

Ellenor I was thinking the same thing tonight I like Jimmy,I think he plays a good part. I feel sorry for Moira there are too many males in her house.At one point there were about six men in her living room.
