The Bridge is back on Saturday 4th January on BBC 4!
Only for a double bill though but better than nothing.

danish and swedish are more like dialects than separate language. i.e. they can understand each other but don't speak the other language.
works the same way at the dutch/german border. (and many more languages/countries, I'm sure)

I agree with the new woman and Martin theories, but what about the other new one and Saga? He seems to be behaving strangely around her and if you rewatch just after the woman asks Martin for a lift the two newbies exchange a look.

lilibet I think Saga and Martin have that aura/reputation of people who have been involved in such a high profile case and people (even police officers) can go a bit strange around slightly famous people (look at the number of coppers who swore Jimmy Saville was a saint fgs)...

It probably is fairly public knowledge that Martin has a problem with impulse control, so the female police officer will think she can get close fairly easily. The new policeman's first interaction with Saga was her changing her top in the office, so he probably thinks he's on to an easy thing. Or maybe he thinks he can play her and get some glory for himself because of her autism? But he has failed to realise she is not stupid and I cheer every time she slaps him down by asking him to do something necessary but not glam

But I thought Saga picked on it - which was strange, with her having Asperger's and definitely tried to keep new woman away from Martin.

So happy that it's back. I think that I might like Saga better than Sarah Lund and I never thought that would happen!

I used to work for a Danish company and have been there a few times, went by ferry to Sweden and back through the bridge a few years ago.

I was amazed at Sweden, it's seems slightly bleak, like someone has drained some of the colour from the surroundings.
