MsNobodyAgain · 06/12/2013 14:49

This is a thread for all lovers of the daytime soap 'Doctors', BBC1, 1.45pm. All welcome, newbies, regulars, lurkers. Let me entertain you with a festive song:

The 12 Days of Doctors Christmas
On the twelfth day of Christmas
My true love sent to me
Twelve Mandy's fretting
Eleven Chris's whinging
Ten Jimmi's washing
Nine Heston's scripting
Eight Barry's peering
Seven Daniel's flirting
Six Zara's glaring
Five paaaa-tients!
Four sad Robs
Three pies for Al
Two Karens
And a tabard in a pear tree

Xmas Smile Xmas Smile Xmas Smile

The apostrophe police will have a field day with that one ^

(Private note to Kev: go on.....show me your baubles! Xmas Grin)

I'm with cinnamon on the raspberry pi ignorance. I am gathering from the context it isn't a tasty dessert, which is a bit of a shame.

ClayDavis · 29/12/2013 22:09

It would also be good if it was a desert.

It's a very small computer that looks like this. It's used to teach computer science/programming/electronics.

It was also the username of a poster who joined MN and a couple of other forums to start this AIBU.

Raahh · 29/12/2013 22:24

Clay- yanbu- what a waste of a name!! Xmas Grin

I know a little about the Pi- ds knows a lot . Dh and ds have spent the last few days holed up in ds's 'office'

Ds is brilliant with computers. It just confuses me, Grin. Mind you, dd2 is brilliant at finding her way around the laptop- she's only 3. It baffles me Grin

ClayDavis · 29/12/2013 22:38

I once made the mistake of answering a question with 'I don't know' in front of my 6 year old cousin. It was met with an eye roll a tut and 'Just google it'.

I'm never teaching her older sister any programming. She's quick as lightning at picking up new skills and has ASD with no sense of mine/yours/privacy. She'd probably have hacked NASA before you know it.

Raahh · 29/12/2013 22:47

Clay- sound like ds we regularly check his history

Xmas Grin
MsNobodyAgain · 29/12/2013 23:33

Clay Grin at that AIBU. she got her arse handed to her on a plate!

I have been looking at the Relationships board on and off today no idea why because the closest relationship I have is with my Nexus. Anyway, it's been harsh on there Shock. Thread deletions and everything.

Love a good bunfight as long as I am not involved. I am too cowardly to brave the boards mostly but I read a lot.

Oh dear. Michael Schumacher is in a coma after a skiing accident. Sad

MsNo We have been following this as big F1 fans, personally not a big Schumi fan but none the less hope hr recovers soon. I did say it might be an injury like Karens in doctors ! OH compared it to Richard Hammonds.

WhoKnowsWhereTheMistletoes · 29/12/2013 23:50

It's shocking isn't it? I have never really liked him but have the utmost admiration for him and what he has done for F1.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 29/12/2013 23:55

I've always liked him. I'm gutted this has happened, I really hope he pulls through to lead a reasonable life, but it doesn't sound good at the moment. Sad

OodToSeeTheBackOf2013 · 30/12/2013 08:00

It was reported as minor at first so I was quite shocked this am to see it on the news.

I'd love a raspberry pi but would need time to play and learn what to do

I went to school with someone who went to prison for computer hacking (iirc it was a bank) and that was 20 years ago so more impressive to 15 year old me.

cinnamongreyhound · 30/12/2013 08:41

We saw about Michael Schumacher as well. Neither dh or I are f1 fans but it's still :( to head about anyone badly injured. It's a shame they only thought it was minor in the beginning as they may have been able to deal with it earlier.

I find any kind of forums pretty harsh as it's so hard to know how things were meant and people are very brave when behind their computers.

I googled the raspberry pi and showed it to dh, he said what's the point! I could imagine it would be something my brother would have enjoyed and perhaps still would.

toldmywrath · 30/12/2013 16:55

MsNo -what relationships forum have you been reading then? Been out to the sales this am & it was raining cats & dogs, I was weraing my almostfloor length waxed coat & hat, plus boots. Some people were wearing onesies (a mum & her two boys) plus two young girls came out of McD's in velour tracksuits with perma tan & Essex make up. Apologies to any of you who also like to dress like this -but not in a torrential flood, surely!

toldmywrath · 30/12/2013 16:56

I do like weraing but on this occasion I was wearing Grin

MsNobodyAgain · 30/12/2013 18:50

It was just the relationships board on here told. It was a bit bonkers.

I saw a woman out in a velour purple tracksuit today, and Uggs. She must have been soaked to the skin. I was all layered up. Thermal camisole, t shirt, cardi, scarf, coat. I don't like being cold.

Why do people go out in onesies? I wouldn't answer the door in one.

Ooooh, who in Doctors would wear a onesie? Mandy is my bet.

WhoKnowsWhereTheMistletoes · 30/12/2013 18:56

I spotted a thread that sounded like an episode of Doctors, but will refrain from linking to it as I don't want to take the piss. pm me

toldmywrath · 30/12/2013 18:59

I've never worn one (I did wear a red all in one fluffy thing nearly 30 years ago- I told my DP that it was my dress for our wedding day. In the end I wore a knee length white dress, how boring Grin )
Mandy would wear one & perhaps 6tl.
I've seen an advert on over Xmas (cruise or river trips?) & the name of the boat is Freya (who?) It makes me think of Doctors. Roll on next Monday.

ClayDavis · 30/12/2013 19:43

I have a slight confession to make.

There's a thread running in Primary Education which seems to have turned into a list of things that mark people out as being working class as opposed to middle class. Despite being MC I think I'd pretty much done everything on the list except one or two items. Or so I thought.

Remembered during a conversation with my sister last week that I have actually left the house wearing my pyjamas. Not only that, but I went to McDonalds wearing them. I think I've let the whole of Mumsnet down. Blush

ClayDavis · 30/12/2013 19:49

Any clues Whoknows? Is it in chat or AIBU? I don't think it's the OP who came back from the GP fuming and livid. Or is it? That would have been a home visit I think.

MsNobodyAgain · 30/12/2013 19:51

Clay Shock (at the pj's, not at you being MC).

WhoKnows must be busy. I PM'd her aaaaaaaagggggggggggges ago slight exaggeration

OodToSeeTheBackOf2013 · 30/12/2013 19:51

I thought the woman at the GO sounded liked she'd been to the mill

ClayDavis · 30/12/2013 20:27

Does it make it any better that it was at some services on the M5? We hadn't really intended to stop off for dinner and my pjs were much more comfortable to travel in than what I was wearing. I did spend the whole time thinking I'm going to get home and find myself the subject of and AIBU.

I did think it couldn't be that thread, Ood. Then as I was typing it I could just see Karen being called off the desk to take blood.

cinnamongreyhound · 30/12/2013 21:00

My eldest loves his onsies but he got some that you're meant to wear in the day and he is happy to wear them at home but doesn't want to go out in them. I don't have one and ds2 doesn't wear his at all! I've seen quite a few family onsie pics on fb over Christmas.

A rl doctors thread must be entertaining.

Mandy definitely would wear a onsie and Chris!

MsNobodyAgain · 30/12/2013 21:02

I would have judged. Grin

cinnamongreyhound · 30/12/2013 21:03

I don't wear pyjamas so have never been out in them!
