Jack Bauer appreciation thread

I realise i may be alone here but finished season 3 of 24 this weekend and oh, i just adore Jack Bauer! He's not a beefcake or your traditional hard nut but he is just amazing...

And the bit at the end when he just let himself 'feel' after the day from hell.. i just wanted to cuddle him.

No spoilers please as have only seen the first 3 seasons (although immediately ordered season 4 off ebay for the bargain price of £3,40 inc p&p!) but WHAT A MAN!!

A straight male PR friend of mine had an extremely wild night out with
Dennis Haysbert when he came to London on a junket.

At the start of the evening he was making a big deal about time zones and wanting to phone his girlfriend. After a while he seemed to forget how much he loved her.

Haha Grin It must be fascinating seeing the other sides to these actors... I've only ever seen ole Dennis as President Palmer and I expect he is very different in real life...

As you can tell by my name I'm a huge 24 fan. I don't agree the first 3 series are the best, you've still got so much good stuff to come, I think series 5 & 8 are my favourites although they're all good. Also love the one-liners in 24 hence my name. DH & I often tell each other we're doing something mundane because "it's the only option I've got right now". Plus staging areas - always essential to have those!

Grin love the name, dammitchloe - was going to post a big Dammit! last night but thought I'd posted enough messages to myself!

I'm always very impressed at how quickly they can upload stuff or send things to each others screens... and always find a way to hack in, decode etc - although I guess these people do genuinely exist somewhere which is kind of scary

Perhaps this gets explained a bit later but surely if Jack is widely known as being alive, the Chinese will want him? Isn't that why he died in the first place...

dh, dd and myself have had what i would call a '24' christmas, best thing about my Christmas this year tbh. LOVE the fact that dh has wanted to watch it again, he is so enjoying it that he asks me to pause it when he goes out of the room :-D we are nearing the end of season 4 which i think is fab, love season 5 especially. dd is really enjoying it too!! no sex scenes which is good just some torture.....i forward it or hide her face with a cushion. LOVE david palmer, chloe etc. dh and i tend to say 'copy that' most all of the time, that or 'pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese'

Oh I'm so glad I found this thread. I'm new to 24 and since beginning of December have watched seasons 1-3. Love the fact that love film have all the seasons online so can watch back to back. Am just about to watch season 4 and am so glad that they continue to be good. Have a mad crush on Tony and Jack and really dislike Chloe so far.

Ahhhhh, Jack, I remember thee well. Sorry I am so late to this thread, I have been a huge Jack fan since day one. I remember being so excited by the format of 24 and wondering how it would work.

I find I get confused with other shows that don't work in the format as I can't grasp how long things take.. watching the West Wing as well at the moment and things span different days etc - is now so confusing!!

Everything should be shown in real time (although am guessing most shows would have hours of nothing happening and might struggle to keep anyone watching Smile)
