Ruby is overall good on flavours, the one thing we really can't judge on.

I'm all tearful.

I don't think Ruby will win though.

Looked rubbish, but tasted great (according to Mary and Paul).

Like Becca very much. But the cake seemed quite heavy looking and clearly tasted of synthetic banana (according to judges).

Ruby had a lucky escape.

True re the flavour thing, I guess even if they try to put it into words only they know the subtleties. But Ruby's cake did look terrible.

"young girl" she's an adult woman.

Her Charlotte was a bit of a wreck as well.
Canapes were so so.

Loved Frances' canapés.

To be fair, they loathed her technical one and were relatively critical. Not so critical of her as of Beca, but maybe Beca's cakes have tasted bad? Tricky to judge until they invent taste-o-vision (oh happy day).

Usually Ruby does pretty well in the technical, even though is blind judged.

Shame for Beca as I did like her. I warmed to Kimberley today and her brain was brill.

Well really not fussed now but think Kimberly will win . She seems to have the flavour / look combination. Ruby her presentation is no way matching the other two and Francis Paul and Mary continue to say that her flavours are missing but her canapes were top !!!
Sad to see Beca go as she is a real character ...genuine as well.

at least I don't have to run to the pub naked....every cloud eh :)

Ooh, I've only just found this thread. Love GBBO - interested to read some of your views on here. I am also finding the way Ruby is presented really irritating - I'm sure it is just editing and she's not really like that but I can't see why they would want to portray anyone in such a mopy manner! I do feel that P&M pander to her a bit too in case she is too upset by what they say.

I'd quite like Frances to have a blinder and win next week :)

Hmm felt sorry for Becca tonight. I guess Ruby's stuff does always taste really nice which should win out over flavour is have thought.
Kimberley deserved star baker. I have completely changed my mind about her and if she can get her flavours right, I hope she wins.
Mind you, Frances had me chuckling tonight. She seems like a real laugh.

Ruby should have gone. Beca was not as good as Frances and Kimberley, but she was ahead of Ruby.

Who would buy a book / watch a tv series where the presenter kept moaning and claiming their recipe was rubbish, and when the finished product looked so badly done?

WTF was Beca's flour face all about?!

Gross - clearly wiping her nose and mouth and not washing her hands...you're coming for other people, where's the basic hygiene?

With that being said though, I'm really surprised that she's gone tonight - I was sure Ruby would have been the one to get the boot.

The banana cake was a really bad idea and I think they made the right decision. I liked Beca and was sad to see her go, but her canapés weren't as good as the others and she was second to last on the technical.

For what it's worth there was absolutely no sign of PH drooling over Ruby. Yes, she's a bit of an Eeyore, but I find her quite entertaining in a weird way.

It does look staged as to who will win look at last week with Ruby getting star baker for something i could of made. It would of had to have tasted of rainbows for something like that to get star baker in any other series.
Also am i reading too much into mel asking if her she wants a slap that sounded abit more than friendly banter. Imagine being forced to go and talk to/interview the human version of Marvin from hitchhikers
