Well, apart from the mix up of mythological characters I really enjoyed both episodes. I didn't get into Merlin and got totally bored with Dr Who and found this a refreshing change. It is bunkum and amusing in parts and is one of the few programmes that all three of us want to watch.

I would love to see some Mary Renault stuff filmed as well.

I adored Merlin, was gutted when it ended. I hated Robin Hood and nearly didn't watch Merlin as I thought it would be the same shite again but very glad I gave it a go which is why I'm watching Atlantis. So far it isn't a patch on Merlin but way better than Robin Hood. I'll stick with it for a bit longer and see how it goes. I hope that they introduce a good looking man at some stage, Bradley James was lush and there is no talent so far in Atlantis.

we watched the first one, was okay, but havent bothered with second one nor will we with the rest TBH.
we watched Dads Army instead Grin.

I haven't bothered with this, but dd half watches it while fb-ing with her friends. She has just wandered into the kitchen saying "why does he have to take his shirt off every week?" and "why did he have to get someone else to wave at the bull, no one else did? And of course he did a much better jump than everyone else." she is really quite narked. I don't think she'd mind the mixing up of all the heroes/legends if the rather wet looking Jason were better written. She's 14, so these are rhetorical questions btw.

I might get my Friday nights back!

It seems to me to be trying to follow the same formula as Merlin. I don't think it's really working. The banter between them in the 'comical' moments consists of lots of ribbing poor Hercules about his weight. Obviously, as has been mentioned, it's not very accurate either (though nor was Merlin, I suppose).
I'm still watching, for now, out of interest.
