Ah buying food, not sure why he'd look so guilty about that!

I see, she knew about it but was still only a little girl. She saved her life so no all's forgiven?

cinnamongreyhound · 30/09/2013 14:10

Oh no bulimia :(

OodAlpha · 30/09/2013 14:10

It's jimmi/OCD all over again.

Raahh · 30/09/2013 14:10

I think the writers have got all confused, definitely.

Jimmi binge eating/self loathing ferretty behaviour- believable.

TBFE- not so much.

Ugh. I've just gone off my kit kat.

cinnamongreyhound · 30/09/2013 14:11

Guess they're just trying to show it doesn't only affect 14 year old girls.

OodAlpha · 30/09/2013 14:11

I miss chocolate :-( though the thread on here tells me cadburys has gone bad now anyway

Raahh · 30/09/2013 14:11

Where has this come from? Like being a special? It's like we missed out 6 months worth of plotConfused

cinnamongreyhound · 30/09/2013 14:12

I'm not good with vomit!

OodAlpha · 30/09/2013 14:13

Think its his crisis of confidence raah

cinnamongreyhound · 30/09/2013 14:13

I know a few shovelled mouthfuls of chicken after his bad day last week and now he's eating a months worth of junk food and not clearing up the wrappers!

cinnamongreyhound · 30/09/2013 14:13

Can I ask your opinions on something undoctors please?

AnneEyhtMeyer · 30/09/2013 14:14

It just doesn't ring true at all. Fortunately the scriptwriters will forget all about it in a couple of months, like Jimmi's OCD.

Glad BabyOod isn't too poorly. Hope he shakes off the cold soon.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 30/09/2013 14:14

Oh yes, of course, Cinnamon. Unless it is about cats.

OodAlpha · 30/09/2013 14:15

Go for it cinnamon

Thanks anne :)

I signed up as a school governor the last half term of last year. The first meetin of this year was on weds, min we got details of all the committees we were on and told I read as it would be discussed at the meeting.

It wasn't discussed at the meeting and I am on the head teachers performance review committee which is meeting next tues at 10am. Without any discussion as to what suited me I have had an email asking me to confirm I'll be there today. I replied that I will have three children with me, two of whom are minded so only 8 days notice for parents to find alternative care and my loss of earnings, and was told that I need to not bring those children. I've replied saying that's not really possible at this late stage am I being rude/unreasonable/difficult?

cinnamongreyhound · 30/09/2013 14:20

I can't help but feel if I was working in another job they wouldn't expect me to take time off?

OodAlpha · 30/09/2013 14:24

Nope YANBU. It's probably easier for someone in an office to get out for an hour than a CM!

AnneEyhtMeyer · 30/09/2013 14:27

I would expect the school to provide the childcare if they need you without adequate notice ( or in fact, your prior agreement).

What type of school is it? Primary? If so I can't imagine it would be a problem for someone to look after them for an hour or so. Surely they could just go in with reception?

I do think that as a governor it is likely you will be asked to do things in working hours, but surely you should get the chance to agree a time suitable rather than it being thrust on you?

cinnamongreyhound · 30/09/2013 14:27

That's the problem, it may mean a whole day off which is £50 on a Tuesday :(

cinnamongreyhound · 30/09/2013 14:30

I did expect some things to be in school hours but any other day of the week I would have less children than a Tuesday, so less income lost and less parents to inconvience or another childminder friend who had a space so I could leave them with her for an hour. They have a nursery as well so children from 3 but I guess that would put them over in ratios :(

AnneEyhtMeyer · 30/09/2013 14:48

I would expect the nursery to be able to have them. Have you asked? They can't be so tight on ratios - what if one of the staff were sick? They must have some lee-way. Or they must have back-up to call on.

However, if they say no, then I would push for the meeting to be rearranged to a convenient time. It isn't fair to spring it on you.

OodAlpha · 30/09/2013 14:52

From the FB page Austen week next week

AnneEyhtMeyer · 30/09/2013 14:59

MsNobodyAgain · 30/09/2013 16:31

Austen week is apparently only 2 days, according to Facebook. Sad

However, the photos on Facebook are superb - definitely worth a look. Think the scriptwriters have it in for Jimmi - all the other men look gorgeous but he has been dressed as Mr Collins!

Mrs T as Lady Catherine de Bourgh looks stunning.
