Accidentally filled up the last thread without realising.

Have the day off today so can sit and watch the tennis scores update.

We still have Tennis Tennis too.

three {{hugs}}

I hope you have a peaceful weekend. People, whatever age, can be horrible. It's just not fair. Hope you and ds have a lovely weekend- even if you make him watch tennis (does he like tennis? ).

Tennis

one day, we will get the balls restored...

probably not until Murray looks likely to win a slam again, which may be never

evil

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 17/01/2014 21:53

I think we'll probably get it back for Wimbledon. Maybe if we pressured them we could get it back for the French

threebats · 18/01/2014 06:40

Another day - another brew of coffee Smile
We shall get this sorted out the correct way on Monday - we shall not go around breaking legs or putting horses heads into beds - my dd's watch far too much Mafia related stuff you know...
Am grateful in hindsight that we have the weekend as I fear anger tears might have erupted yesterday had I actually seen somebody which is always messy! Nobody wants to see a grown woman snotting and tissue-less having a mini breakdown and threatening huge retribution if she is not permitted 5 minutes alone in a locked room with her child's tormentors...

I have emailed his special needs advisor to give him a heads up on the situation - managed to remain quite composed and fair minded as well - somewhat of a miracle considering I was fit to be tied when I sent it.

He told me last night he trusted me and trusted I will get this sorted out. He feels funny inside and sick and can't eat or sleep - he just lacks the emotional capability to deal with it so I will deal with it for him, simple.
I am about to shower, clean up a bit and go off and find Tennis hopefully - Have got tons of paperwork to sort out so have to remain seated in one spot for hours and hours - utter shame that, it means I can't move from the Tv all day Grin
Tennis bring back the balls!

threebats · 18/01/2014 11:21

Is nobody awake?
Woo woo! Tennis
That's all I have to say.

ValaRaahh · 18/01/2014 11:25

Morning! Am busy refreshing the scores- Nadal seems to be sailing through his match. Much as I like Monfils, definitely want Rafa to win. Vamos!

And unlike Wimbledon, there is play on Sunday at the Aussie, so I can lounge around in the morningrefreshing scores pretending to be busy Grin

ValaRaahh · 18/01/2014 11:36

I am so dumb!! I have euro sport! Why did I not know this??? The match is nearly overSad

ValaRaahh · 18/01/2014 12:35

Well, I've turned off now, as they are repeating the Murray match. I hate British commentary teams- they are ridiculously biased, and clearly pre-empting any loss Murray might suffer in the tournament by constantly referencing his back and how unhappy he looks. Not a single word has been said so far about his opponent. 10 minutes in, and it is all they have talked abut.

Raahh · 19/01/2014 05:37

Serena is out. I haven't been paying that much attention to the women- and she was playing ivanovic, so mixed feelings about that result. I can't imagine a tournament without one of the Williams sisters really.

And nope, I can't sleep. Am debating getting up to see if the djokovic match is on my new found Eurosport channelGrin

JuanPotatoTwo · 19/01/2014 12:46

Oh Raahh, how annoying that you've had Eurosport all along! Best not think of all that tennis you could've seen ....

I'm glad Serena's out, it's just all too predictable when she's there, at least this opens it up a bit, though like you, I don't follow the ladies as closely.

three, glad you've emailed college, hope they deal with this situation well. Your dc all sound lovely, looking out for each other. I'd like to think mine would do the same. You sound like a lovely warm caring dm too. I hope things improve for your poor ds.

JuanPotatoTwo · 19/01/2014 12:47

Raahh, did you get up to watch the match?

Raahh · 19/01/2014 14:07

The end of the Djok match was quick, and I watched him do his impersonation of Boris, which was funny. He's growing on me, is Novak. Him and Boris seem to have a good rapport- and Boris was looking very good todayGrin.

Having discovered Eurosport, I think I set it to record the whole night!I might watch some of it later, even though I know the results.

Raahh · 19/01/2014 14:23

And it is Edberg's birthday. Happy Birthday, Stefan. Cake

LetZygonsbeZygons · 19/01/2014 19:22

was going to nc for the tennis but 1- have had limited internet use and 2- I like my Dr Who name too much ,and 3-they haven't given us our balls back!

oh, and 4- I have several tennis nns to choose from. one for each GS.
think I will change to one right now.
get ready!

LetZygonsbeZygons · 19/01/2014 19:25

oookay....mns not letting me change nn! keeps saying it must be between 2 and whatever letters and numbers, yet name I got is just as long as my current one! Sad

BorisBeckersCupboard · 19/01/2014 19:27

Yessss! Zygons has now changed for the Aussie Open!

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 19/01/2014 19:58

Oooh. You might be in trouble if threebats sees you. I think she'll fight you to the death over Boris. Grin

BorisBeckersCupboard · 19/01/2014 20:09

Disclaimer-I don't like Boris THAT way! just thought it was a funny name to have Grin. hes a clone of my cousin!

always remember at Wimbledon one year Noel Fielding was interviewed and they asked him if he wanted to meet Boris.

He said ''yes Id like to meet him but I wont get into a cupboard with him''! classic!

My curren Grin guys are Thomas Berdych, John Isner, Fabio Fognini and Tipsarevic (congrats on baby Tipsy!)

threebats · 20/01/2014 05:52

Ey now cupboard Boris is all mine - lets just get that sorted out from the off. We do not want a situation like magi and juan occurring here... Its daggers at dawn with those two over Potato.
Incidentily - how old is your cousin? Is he married? Can he talk with a German accent? Grin

Morning coffee and Nadal here - sigh... Its like summer time just earlier, darker, colder and I have not yet brushed my hair let alone seen the shower.
Tennis
Blissed out.

Mama1980 · 20/01/2014 07:31

Watching rafa all snuggled Up with my babies and with tsonga still to play I don't think we'll be very productive today Grin

threebats · 20/01/2014 07:41

Nadal needs a hug - I am available. Grin
I know mama Tsonga after - I have however, ironed while this has been on - I am finished now though and today is my day off so... Its settle down time.

Raahh · 20/01/2014 08:38

Well done to Rafa- we said at the beginning he had a tough draw, and Nishikori can be dangerous when playing well (and rubbish when he's notGrin).

Oh, and look- Murray has smashed a racket because he's lost his 3rd set. Sulky child. Robert's not done badly for someone ranked 700+ before the tournament. Yet another Frenchman to add to their list of top players.

Delighted Shrieky is out. will she be sacking another coach?Grin

JuanPotatoTwo · 20/01/2014 09:04

Morning all. Isn't it nice having people who "get" you and your tennis obsession. I went for coffee with friends on Sat and somehow the topic of the temperature in Australia came up. One friend started to say something like "isn't there tennis on over there?" And before I could help myself I had expounded at length on both the tournament, the extreme weather measures and my love for Pot (although to be fair, everyone who knows me is aware of that one!)

Anyway, usual suspects through I see. Andy doing better than I thought, I must say. Pot's conqueror is out. Did Shrieky have some sort of argument after her match - I read something which seemed to suggest that? She'll be pleased with how Dimitrov is doing I suppose.

There is no situation between magi and me - Pot is mine, all mine! threebats, good luck sorting out the bullying situation today. Off to a circuit class now for some reason which currently eludes me. Have good days all

threebats · 20/01/2014 09:58

I talk about tennis at length as well juan I get mostly bored faces, glassed over eyes and shrugs of bewilderment - it deters me not - I still gob on about it.

I do hope Tsonga carries on growing his hair - by Wimbledon, he'll have an afro - that's going to be cool - imagine the slow down shots with an afro bobbing?

I am not hopeful of much of a resolving today juan I have followed procedure and emailed detailing events and requesting somebody get in touch. They probably will, by late this afternoon - suppose they have to hear the fuckarses students side of matters before they act. If I hear nothing, tomorrow will be dicey to say the least as I will go in like a bloodhound and begin by saying, 'I am about to call the police and report several physical assaults carried out on your premises - what are you going to do to stop me?'
Back to tennis I go... I go... I go.... Hi, ho, Hi, ho.... Hi ho....
(No idea where that came from - perhaps its being up since 5am)

BaconAndAvocado · 20/01/2014 10:24

Hello all, I'm a bit of a tennis freak and have been avidly watching Aus Open on Eurosport.

  1. Murray through, yippee!!
  1. Serena is out, yippee! Once again there is a reason she lost....get over yourself, Ivanovic was the better player, back injury my arse.
  1. I love you Tsonga......
Raahh · 20/01/2014 11:38

I'm lucky because my mother is as obsessed as me- so we can discuss it at length. Dh humours meGrin.

I'm glad Federer is through, just for the Edberg factor. I would love to see Tsonga with an Afro. Grin

Interesting fact- (since Federer plays Murray next). Edberg and Lendl played each other 27 times- with Edberg winning 14-13.

I love stats like thatGrin
