Yes..so they ensured the woman had a much worse birth than she could have.

Switched off when they started saying that women these days didn't want to feel pain. Like they used to be quite happy about the pain or something?????

Lovely baby! Totally agree with Fanjo though, I was getting really angry watching them all talking about her like she wasn't there and deciding that she couldn't have the epidural despite her asking for one.

I think the "No one wants to deliver a baby at home" comment was about women coming to hospital early, before labour is established, because they are worried about not getting to the hospital in time.

He did film me whilst labouring, but I was ok at that point

The tone is ridiculously condescending. Epidurals are BAD. BAD women. BAD BAD BAD.

I don't think she was refused an epidural though was she. At last check she was 7cm dilated and they decided to check her dilation before making a decision. And she was fully dilated and it was too late for an epidural. I agree that if you ask for an epidural, you should have one. But only if it's a viable option.
