Raping not taking-bloody auto correct!

Possibly her first time?

valiumredhead · 09/09/2013 14:16

I thought it high lighted the difference between the women-one felt worthless and so she put up with him being rough and the journalist woman who was angry and fought him off.

Isn't the creepy son the same actor who played Jack Dee's daughter's dopey boyfriend in Lead Balloon?

Vickibee · 10/09/2013 06:04

I don't understand what the curly haired girl is doing living with the teacher guy in the basement. Is it a sexual relationship or is she a skivvy for him. It is not clear.
They are a right set of oddballs aren't they, glad my neighbours aren't like them!

coffeeinbed · 10/09/2013 06:58

I thnk she's hiding.
I have a feeling there was something with her family.

I have been watching it.

Am totally confused as to who did the murdering.

This week's episode just mixed everything up again. What a bunch of oddballs.

Kieron's son, (Adam?) is totally creepy. but I doubt he did any murdering.

I think pregnant lady just has a lot of time on her hands. Although after reading your theory harrystottle maybe there is more to it.

TigerseyeMum · 10/09/2013 09:15

I'm beginning to think there wasn't a murder, either. The arrival if the detective merely stirs up all the dirt simmering under the respectable surfaces, and highlights how we all live shallow and isolated lives, possibly using life's 'nice' people to get what we want.

All the characters are unpleasant apart from the pregnant girlfriend but I wonder what she sees in her partner?

diddl · 10/09/2013 10:23

"I'm beginning to think there wasn't a murder, either"

But why would she shut herself in the attic?

And if by accident, wouldn't someone here her shouting/banging?

diddl · 10/09/2013 10:23

hear, not hereBlush

Have they DNA'd the remains, what happens if it is someone else and Melissa is still alive?

Kaluki · 10/09/2013 12:24

That was my theory. I think the body was too decomposed to do any DNA tests on and they just assumed it was Melissa.
I think Melissa went up to the attic, had a row with whoever and killed them and then took off and assumed a new identity.

TigerseyeMum · 10/09/2013 13:04

Maybe she knocked herself out and someone shut the hatch? Thus showing how lonely and isolated she was. No one thought to look for her?

Or maybe it isn't her?

Yonihadtoask · 10/09/2013 13:17

If it isn't her body, then whose is it???

Hmmm...

That Adam is ringing alarm bells with me - or is he just a red herring? Maybe he had a thing with Melissa too. He said he liked 'women' not girls didn't he.

I have been over thinking maybe.,

Yonihadtoask · 10/09/2013 13:45

Maybe the title of the show should be Whose Remains??

Grin
labelwriter · 10/09/2013 16:37

See, I think that curly hair lady in the basement murdered her family, or something, and the teacher is hiding her and she is the one who is unhinged but I don't think she killed her. Or maybe she did. I think the same about the Victoria Hamilton lesbian, not as good as she seems and in some way implicated if curly haired lady isn't.

demisemiquaver · 10/09/2013 20:18

could it be a take on "an inspector calls" the classic J B Priestley play ???????

valiumredhead · 10/09/2013 20:35

It's been noted alreadyWink

demisemiquaver · 10/09/2013 20:46

thanx valium, I dont usually read back thru all the posts so I never saw that ....we'll find out next week eh?

MrsCampbellBlack · 10/09/2013 20:50

I'm enjoying it.

As an aside - met tall mean lesbian at children's swimming lessons last summer, smiled and chatted as thought I knew her. And of course I did from Luther. Oh the embarassment.

valiumredhead · 10/09/2013 20:59

Demi,I don't either I'm always getting told to read the threadGrin

waikikamookau · 14/09/2013 08:09

the tall lesbian got the other lesbian back by the threat of calling the police and their involvement in Melissa.
and now she has locked her in.
horrible

MisguidedAngel · 14/09/2013 12:34

Are OH and I the only people who thought/think that Liz in the basement is a boy? When the school photo flashed up briefly I thought it was all boys, but when we saw the school it looked like a bog standard comprehensive.

Everyone else seems to know it's a girl. I do too really, but I wonder if we're meant to not know. She's quite boyish looking - and the Russell Tovey character positively recoiled when she tried to kiss him, and I reckon he's not that good a husband/partner that he wouldn't enjoy a bit of a snog, especially since he wants her on side.
