I know it's been shit for ages but its just dire atm. I'm a bit behind and stopped watching when bunhead Lauren was getting drunk. Switched back on and she's back from rehab. Was her rehab in the Maldives? I'm sick to the back teeth of her and joey. What a mockery they've made of teen drinking showing her recovered. She's a terrible actress.

Lucy is weird and for an eastender she's got a v posh accent. As has bobby. And Dennis. And Sharon.

And I really don't like how every victim of sexual abuse is portrayed as promiscuous. In one episode we see Kat dragging a guy into an alley for a quickie and Whitney getting into a car with strange men. Not every child victim is like kat and bloody Whitney. Utter tosh. I need another long break from it. I only came back to it cos corrie is terrible these days.

Baking- that's right, I remember now that Phil was blackmailing him for ages, then Lucy, then Janine, and now Carl. the writers must sit there saying "Hmm, Ian has been blackmailed by anyone recently, we'd better introduce another thuggish character!"

That crash was a bit unexpected wasnt it! I couldnt work out if carl had that planned or was an accident- not sure where its leading to storyline wise.

I thought the car crash was a bit of an anti climax. Neither DH nor I really understood what was going on. There was very little build up, it just seemed tacked on to the rest of the episode. If you're going to spend a million on a stunt, you need good writing to build up to it.

Yes anti climax is right. No build up at all and tbh we all know phil isnt dead- phil never dies- and carl hasnt been in long enough for a dramatic death to bother anyone.

Why the fuck is Phil still alive? How many accidents/murder attempts has he had? Surely he should be dead by now?

Did Carl (i've smoked too many fags voice) crash the car on purpose and if he did, why? Was he trying to kill himself and Phil and what was the relevance with the locked glovebox in the car?

I'm also thinking of writing in to tell them to get Doe eyed Abby to stop doing that stupid giggle, nervous chuckle thing she does everytime anyone speaks to her. It makes me cringe on her behalf!

I'm turning into an Emmerdale fan and ditching EE.

Tested if you missed something then so did i and ive seen every episode. The story was that carl and phil were doing a deal on dodgy cars, they were on their way to meet a guy ( i think) havent a clue what the glove box was about except that it seemed to be the distraction that caused carl to crash.

I just think EE has totally gone off the boil lately and blowing a million on the stunt didn't stop me leafing through a magazine. No build up, no tensions, and Carl is just a one dimensional villain from central casting.

I stopped watching EE about 2 months ago, but glad to hear I haven't missed anything . Also annoyed with Dexter's ghetto voice and scowl. And Abby pregnant? Pleeeaaase not another teenage pregnancy on EE!! Who is Carl? I don't care.

But I will tune in before Xmas when the scriptwriters get in gear and hopefully it gets good again .

I thought Carl un did phils seat belt as he leaned over it was defo on at the start of the car scene, but when they crashed he didnt have it.just read the spoilers and a can't believe eastenders glorifies criminals like this I hate carl

Carl lied about the vehicle documents being in the glovebox (I guess the cars dodgy so he doesn't have any), we saw it empty earlier. Then he locked it. In the car he told Phil that he would find them in the glovebox, so Phil tried to open it but couldn't because it was locked. Giving Carl a chance to lean over and undo the seatbelt I guess?
