I know it's been shit for ages but its just dire atm. I'm a bit behind and stopped watching when bunhead Lauren was getting drunk. Switched back on and she's back from rehab. Was her rehab in the Maldives? I'm sick to the back teeth of her and joey. What a mockery they've made of teen drinking showing her recovered. She's a terrible actress.

Lucy is weird and for an eastender she's got a v posh accent. As has bobby. And Dennis. And Sharon.

And I really don't like how every victim of sexual abuse is portrayed as promiscuous. In one episode we see Kat dragging a guy into an alley for a quickie and Whitney getting into a car with strange men. Not every child victim is like kat and bloody Whitney. Utter tosh. I need another long break from it. I only came back to it cos corrie is terrible these days.

I watched last night's episode, and - WTF was it all about? It was truly dreadful, what on earth are the scriptwriters on?

It's not good at the moment. I don't know how true it is, but I was reading that Emmerdale (which I imagine to be truly dire) has overtaken EE in the ratings...

I liked the part about the exam results. Abbey [sic] doesn't get the results she needs to become a vet, blames Lauren. Lauren comes into the Vic with Kirsty (who has been helping ) and tells Abbey that she can still become a vet if she does a different degree and an extra year. Abbey is handed a printout, looks at it for all of two seconds, then starts shouting "Yeah!" "Hooray!" Dreadful, dumbed down script and acting.

I think it will be interesting (if typically unrealistic ) when Ronnie returns

Disappointed with last nights episode also.
Eastenders does not do teenagers well at all.
Can't really see the point of having Cindys daughter Cindy on the programme at all. She hasn't been mentioned since she was a baby and surprise surprise she's back.

Tanya has left her daughters with their dodgy stepmother, surely they could have written her out better than that, or just got another person to play her.
Gutted my favourite character Micheal Moon wasn't in it yesterday, still getting the best lines and with irony.

It's all so simple in the world of EE. I also thought the episode where Lauren sorts everything out for Abi by finding out that she can do a different degree and an extra year was rather far-fetched. I checked with DD who said that this is a possibility - Abi could do Zoology and then transfer to Vet Science after a year BUT she would need the minimum entry requirement for Vet Science in the first place, and even though they haven't revealed her results, as she is so glum, I have a feeling it is not that good.

I read that Peggy is coming back briefly to visit Phil when he has a car accident in a couple of weeks.

Yes. I wanted to know her grades. If she'd just missed out...maybe, but it didn't sound like that at all.

Agree also about the accents from Ian's children. They must be sojourning at finishing school during their disappearances from the square.

Agree, EE is utter shite at the moment. I think Tamwar should get his own spin-off, he is my utter favourite!
Can't stand Whitney, Kat, Roxy, jack, Max, Carol, Alice (although I will if she gets with Tam), Joey and the rest of the prattish cast.
I do like Alfie, Bianca, Janine (although agree about her being annoying since the money) and I'm sure a few others.
For me, Janine was at her best when she was with Ryan, they were great together but he hadto then go all soppy for Stacey. I was pleased when Michael came in and she could still be evil with someone, but she's now not great.
Michael's growing on me as is Kirsty, but Carl, his face is the biggest over-actor they've had on here in a long time. Can't wait for him to do one.
Dexter/Ava/Sam are a bit pointless I feel. They could have done loads witht he Ava/Cora storyline, but that seems to hve been forgotten so that Lauren can turn into a half a bottle of wine drinking alcoholic. Laughable (not alcoholism but EE attempts at covering it) and yes, Ronnie. I like Ronnie (until she snatched the baby) but really? Would she really be abkle to just walk back onto the square and live (most likely) in the home she stole the baby from???????? (where will she go but move in with Roxy??????)
