Gasquet, in a tongue in cheek quote, said he would probably only be able to beat Nadal playing footy on the Xbox. Apparently, he and Monfils have played Nadal on occasion. But both Gasquet and Stan have played beyond expectation this tournament, so who knows what may happen. Gasquet hasn't beaten Nadal in a tennis match since they were both 13.

hello. can i join in for a wee message? Id love to see a Stan/Richard final, I like Djokovic but its always nice and refreshing to see different names in a final. I gave up halfway through the US open with the men, although the womens matches have been more interesting (especially without that awful Maria)

just feels a bit deflating after the euphoria of Wimbledon. Davis cup is on next week, and I like the Shanghai masters and the ATP finals at the O2.

As a Rafa fan, I really want him to win- especially given the fact he was written off through injury, and has come back to win more tournaments this years than Djoko/Murray and Fed added together.

I'm not really a fan of the womens game, but can't stand Shriekapova and glad to see her gone

I will be ecstatic if Nadal wins. (I'm not a Murray fan).

12th to be fair, there are only so many who could win a slam on home soil- there isn't a Spanish slam, or a Serbian one, or a German one, so it's purely down to accident of birth that Murray has a home one.

at least the other countries have the Davis/Fed cup to win for the country and sometimes on home soil. my favourite one was Serbia on home soil (even though Novak lives somewhere else!!)
