Federer has withdrawn from montreal citing a back injury-rare for him.

Well,I nearly got an early night- but dd2 had other ideas. So, I was up checking scores at 2.30am . Getting to breakfast lub was hard work

Djoko, on that form, is looking very, very strong. He clearly means business now- and I don't envy Youzhny playing him next, especially after his long match.
I'm still feeling sad about Lleyton.
I'm actually glad Murray pulled it back, and a match up with Stan is a tricky to call one- if Stan is playing well, it could cause Murray problems, and be a good match. Sadly 'playing well Stan' hasn't materialised at the slams this year. He's definitely one that promised huge things, and hasn't quite yet delivered.

Well, just checking in whilst waiting for the dcs to finish karate- ferrer 4-1 down against gasquet when I looked. Not worried yet- ferrer is a master at comebacks

At what point are you going to start worrying do you think? He's lost the first 6-3 and is now a break down in the second.

Hopefully it is a comeback.

Gasquet had a massive match against Raonic- if Ferrer can do what he does best and not give up, Gasquet may fade.

I like Gasquet, and Nadal has never lost to him (if they meet in the next round), but I want Ferrer to win this.

I'm not really fussed about either of them to be honest, so will not really mind whoever wins.

Nadal is on at silly o'clock tomorrow morning so won't be staying up for that.

I'll probably see the progress of the Nadal match when either dh wakes me up at 4.30 for work , or dd2 wakes up (which she often does at least once). Whichever comes first

(that's dh going to work, not me).

Whatever happens, I'm usually shattered by 'proper' wake up time.

Evening all, proper hectic day here today, am nearly as tired as Ferrer and Gasquet must be! This seems like it would have been a good match to watch.

I'd love to be able to go back to Wimbledon. It's 20 years next year since I was able to go. Maybe one day.
