I fell asleep during Andy's fourth set. I jinx him anyway so it's probably just as well.

Didn't get to watch any tennis yesterday and I wake up this morning to find del potato is out! I do love Hewitt though he just never gives up.

Poor Potato. I eventually gave up and went to bed just after he went a break down in the last set. Fortunately Nadal is on quite early this evening.

I need an early night tonight, as I've promised to go swimming first thing tomorrow. I'm dreading next week- much as I will welcome the peace when the older 2 go back to school, getting up early kills me.

So, if Nadal can win in 3 easy sets, I'll be happy. Vamos!

I was still half asleep when I checked the order of play earlier. I had a momentary worry about a possible scheduling clash between Nadal and Sock. Then I remembered I can't watch it and the refreshing screen has all the scores on it.

This is why I should not go to bed at 4am.

I'm trying to work out when the final is on- If it's in the middle of the night, there's no way I'll be able to 'watch' and be up fro the school run. Although, the final is usually on 'proper' telly, so maybe I could record it (if Nadal is playing, not that fussed otherwise, unless it's Ferrer).

Of course the good thing about the US open, is that there is play on the Sunday, so no days off. Although, I'm confused as to what 'day' it actually is!

Grrrr. The Ivanovic match has gone to a 3rd set. I have a totally irrational dislike of Ivanovic. I don't know what it is about her, but I have never warmed to her.

Totally off topic, but I have to share my outrage - was on the motorway earlier and the middle lane was closed due to an accident. Both of the other lanes were moving but slowly, and I saw one woman pull over onto the hard shoulder, open her window, stick her phone out and take a photo . I was so outraged I nearly pulled over myself to snatch the phone out of her rubbernecking little hand (if there is such a thing as a rubbernecking hand).
