Federer has withdrawn from montreal citing a back injury-rare for him.

Has either Robredo or Dancevic in the next round. Not sure how I feel about Fed overtaking Del Potato. Conflicted. Fed, Potato and Berdych close at 5, 6 and 7. 25 points separating the 3 of them.

Is there a similar live feed for the WTA? I can't seem to find one.

Clay- I have looked and looked, and can't find one. It's a really interesting thing to look at.

I think Fed is on a downward spiral, so don't begrudge him a few points. I have high hopes for Del Potato- it's easy to forget how young he is. If he stays injury free, I hope he'll be around a while.

I know Fed's on the way down and Potato's on the way up. There at two completely different stages in their careers. I like Fed and like him to win. He's been at the top of tennis for almost my entire adult life. It'll be weird without him.

I am a bit of a numbers geek. That ATP tennis thing is going to keep me amused for weeks. It's a shame there's no WTA. I thought I'd found a similar Russian site but it hasn't been updated since the beginning of August.

I have never been a Fed fan- but I'm not ready for him to retire. I don't think he is, either. Nadal/Federer as a match is still the match to look out for. They bring out the best in each other.

I didn't really mind JO before either. He has a habit of opening his mouth before engaging brain particularly on subjects he has limited experience of but seemed nice enough. At least I know where I'm going wrong now. I should be putting together a kitty with neighbours to buy utensils to share and sourcing herbs from the park.

Monfils is playing Isner. That'll be a tricky match for him.

I'm glad to see Monfils here- but yes, Isner has had a good few weeks. So could be tricky for Gael.

I'm not sure if I love it or if I'm worried about myself. I'm not sure what the response of my psychiatrist will be if he asks what I've been doing for the last 3 weeks and I say 'watching a screen with tennis scores refresh'. I think I won't mention it.

Dh is sick of me moaning and is trying to find out if I can watch via the internet- even if we have to pay for the week. I'm I can't watch, as Rafa is on amazing form.

Robson up against Li Na- I like her, but I hope Laura can extend her run a bit.

The Murray match could potentially be on at a reasonable-ish time, depending on how quickly the two matches before it are completed. But it's fairly likely to be nearing the middle of the night. Not sure what the weather is like there today.

We have a very basic virgin package- only got it for broadband, so no sports channels or anything at all. In fact the only thing we seem to have gained over our old big standard freeview is bloody Boomerang.

So, I amuse myself 'watching' the scores on the atp website

The web site I normally stream TV and films from has a link to live sports. It does have the tennis but I can't get the links to work. Well one definitely doesn't work, the other is Bet365 and you need to register but I'm not sure if the registering is free or not. In one place it says free, somewhere else it says you have to put a minimum of £10 into an account.

US Open site does have streaming on it but you have to be in the US. I might consider using a proxy server towards the end of the tournament.
