Well, when I say almost what I mean is the 29th September in the US, and I think we were a week behind last series so early October - roll on the Autumn.

. One of the comments says that at the end Brodie says in Arabic "I am a muslim lost in this world..help me come clean again".

I CANNOT wait. I've missed Carrie so much. And Saul. Anyone sad enough to join me in the anticipation?

OP posts:
peking · 04/11/2013 12:13

I think they have...added a bit more Saul, maybe?

peking · 04/11/2013 12:13

I was trying really hard not to fancy Quinn but I may have to admit defeat.

bassingtonffrench · 04/11/2013 12:50

yes quinn def dishy. Seems nice too, though i'm not sure that can go hand in hand with being an assassin..

i think jilted boyfriend will now come to stalk Dana.

I think it is also a bit callous that dana doesn't seem to be grieving for her previous boyfriend killed in the langley bombing at all.

Also, in the hospital when carrie borrowed someones phone to tell her dad to pass on a message to saul about her being prepared to 'do what he said' - what was that all about?!

unitarian · 05/11/2013 02:13

Interesting that bit Carrie said to the FBI dolt about Dana being the one Brody will reach out to eventually. I wonder if Dana's going to try to find him or get a message to him that will bring him back. I haven't the faintest idea how.
I think she's going to convert to Islam any day now!

Fiderer · 05/11/2013 05:23

Blimey - Mrs Saul Shock Poor Saul who is Good It's the beards. Saul has a Good Beard and Dar Salieri has a Bad Beard and a black ops heart.

Isn't Carrie worried about being bugged? She has a secret Saul phone but all communications would be monitored surely. Unless it's a special safe secret Saul phone.

I don't get why she risked the Iranian bait plan by the "yoga play" - which also would have been obvious to anyone listening in, surely. "Let's go to "yoga" " She could have just used the Saulphone and got him to do it.

Still, more proper agent stuff and less teenage angst now hopefully. Good to see Virgil and Max back.

Anyone else not miss Brody at all?

Fiderer · 05/11/2013 05:31

The credits are slightly different, still v good imo. The bit about Carrie missing something referring to 9/11 and Saul (?) saying "We all did", is slightly different and now there's also her saying that she was only one to see it, meaning Brody being turned.

And Brody's in the maze.

Lagoonablue · 05/11/2013 07:35

Virgil and max are great and need bigger parts.

ButThereAgain · 05/11/2013 08:31

I like Virgil and Max too. There are the Lenny and Carl of the CIA.

guineapiglet · 05/11/2013 08:57

Hi all. Def agree with seeing more of virgil and max! They brought a litttle light relief but always seem to help carrie at the expense of 'losing their jobs'.

Lots of facial reading going on and having to interpret body language esp saul and quinn's....there is some dodgy play between them both and am not convinced they are now on same side at all.

The dana road trip ended much too abruptly really with her giving in far too quickly , although respect to her for doing so. She still wants her dad. Feel sorry for her brother though he never gets to say much and is probably just as messed up.

Quinn is very very watchable and much more sexy than Brody. If i was Carrie i woyld get in therebut she cant as is now in some dungeon awaiting rescue again

Ok have watched it twice, read this thread and the blogs. What the hell is Saul thinking? Has he gone mad? As someone else said, surely if he and Carrie are in this together, whether or not she takes her 'meds' must be key? The scene where she decided to flush them away suggests to me he may not be aware what she's doing which is scary - though of course once she'd been kidnapped by the Iranians she wouldn't have her meds anyway.

Much much better episode if a bit contrived. Almost half way through the series though.

bassingtonffrench · 06/11/2013 12:48

isn't the thing about her meds that she is more inclined to have her brilliant insights when she's off them?

ihatethecold · 06/11/2013 13:29

Halfway through already?
Noooooooo

TheDietStartsTomorrow · 07/11/2013 20:30

Quinn is an enigma. We never really know if he's on the good side or bad side because he has a great poker face. Definitly an interesting one though. I was alway suspicious of him but I like that he's apparantly a good guy.

Fiderer · 08/11/2013 06:02

Saul & Carrie didn't trust Quinn at first, remember? He came from Dar Salieri's black ops side and was in on the Brody plan after they found out Brody had been turned.

Then he didn't shoot Brody up at the cabin - ironically leaving Brody free to attend the CIA memorial with his explosive car.

bassingtonffrench · 08/11/2013 09:41

good point fiderer. hadn't thought of that.

How bad would you feel! unless he believes brody didn't do it either.

GypsyFloss · 08/11/2013 10:08

Maybe his job at the cabin was to guard Brody? Not to shoot him.

TheDoctrineOfWho · 08/11/2013 10:43

Nah, Estes wanted Brody shot.

ButThereAgain · 08/11/2013 11:01

I'm not a huge fan of the Quinigma. If he havers a bit it only seems to be between "She has to die" and "Oh but her vulnerability makes her seem so hot"

It's the "Shag or assassinate?" variation on "Shag, marry, avoid?"

Janek · 08/11/2013 11:41

Can someone remind me why quinn didn't shoot brody at the cabin please?

bassingtonffrench · 08/11/2013 11:41

ha ha !

Blu · 08/11/2013 12:33

Quinn threatened Estes...he hated the ethics of Estes...maybe Quinn blew up the CIA! And tipped off Brody - Brody winked at Carrie and got her out..Quinn would have known that Saul was away tipping Abu N into the sea...

tickingboxes · 08/11/2013 12:50

That's a good theory, Blu. I quite like the idea that Quinn and Brody are in cahoots.

But it will all blow up when Quinn and Brody are fighting over Carrie Grin

secretscwirrels · 08/11/2013 13:00

My faith was restored with this episode.
The corkboard, did anyone notice the corkboard? It was like a parody of the parody.
I am not missing Brody.

ButThereAgain · 08/11/2013 13:26

I missed the corkboard, but I noticed that Dana's Sad Mouth had definitely taken acting lessons from Carrie's Sad Mouth, which also seemed like a parody of a parody.Grin
