Well, when I say almost what I mean is the 29th September in the US, and I think we were a week behind last series so early October - roll on the Autumn.

. One of the comments says that at the end Brodie says in Arabic "I am a muslim lost in this world..help me come clean again".

I CANNOT wait. I've missed Carrie so much. And Saul. Anyone sad enough to join me in the anticipation?

Oh thank you!Thanks

Sky plus keeps cutting out, drives me bonkers!

TensionSquealsGhoulsHeels · 14/10/2013 01:09

Mike has apparently been discharged from whatever part of the military he was in, moved to the eff bee aye to be just as docile thick as ever. Check out The Blacklist for his current whereabouts...

Nancy66 · 14/10/2013 09:17

This series needs to improve fast or I'm going to give up on it.

Hopefully Brody makes an appearance next week.

I don't give a shite about his family or his troubled teenage daughter and Carrie's unhinged behaviour is becoming a bit tiresome as well. Didn't she have electric shock therapy last season? I thought the effects of that were permanent.

Lighthousekeeping · 14/10/2013 09:37

I couldn't cope so gave up halfway through last night. That family should be hidden away in a safe house never to be seen by us again. So tedious.

cocoleBOO · 14/10/2013 17:15

Valium if you set the next programme to record after Homeland, the end of Homeland will be recorded at the start if it. IYSWIM? Confused

diddl · 14/10/2013 18:53

I'm wondering if I'm easily pleased, as I'm still pretty much enjoying it & I love Dana (always have though), and how it has affected her.

valiumredhead · 14/10/2013 18:59

Coco- too many things recording including Downtown and TOWIE Wink

valiumredhead · 14/10/2013 19:00

Light house-I agree,I hate the wife and the daughter in equal measures.

AnyFucker · 14/10/2013 19:01

I am enjoying it too, although it does seem to have slowed up somewhat. Scene setting still, perhaps ?

I don't mind slow viewing though. DH gets bored if there isn't a car chase in the first 5 mins, whereas I like the atmosphere and the detail behind the characters [smile[

valiumredhead · 14/10/2013 19:02

Nancy-do you mean the benefits of ECT are permanent? No, they aren't, people often have to have repeated courses.

AnyFucker · 14/10/2013 19:02

What's up with the wife ? I confess her hair is a bit strange this series, though.

TensionSquealsGhoulsHeels · 14/10/2013 19:17

Is that not the pregnancy effect, the hair thing? Her bump was visible when both her and Dana were talking to the therapist bloke.

AnyFucker · 14/10/2013 19:19

eh ? the wife is pg ?

Nancy66 · 14/10/2013 19:24

Valium - yes, that's what I meant. Thanks for info.

The actress who plays Brody's wife is pregnant in real life - or rather she was during filming.

AnyFucker · 14/10/2013 19:51

Oh, right.

Lighthousekeeping · 14/10/2013 20:05

There was a comment in today's paper saying that Homeland was quickly turning into Dana's Creek Grin

SinisterSal · 14/10/2013 20:54
Grin
HoldMeCloserTonyDanza · 16/10/2013 11:49

Just caught up with the new episodes.

I am Team Saul.

That scene with the headscarf enraged me though. Totally, gobsmackingly out of character for Saul. Whether you think he's an evil mastermind or not, his character would never, ever in a million years tell someone "that thing on your head" is an "insult to the people you're working with". No way. I don't buy that he'd even think it, let alone say it.

diddl · 16/10/2013 20:00

Yes, that was odd, wasn't it?

Trying to say that it was a constant reminder to staff who had lost colleagues/loved ones and I suppose being in USA it would be her choice to wear it?
.
Not her fault that she was the only one suitable for the job, though!

nomorecrumbs · 16/10/2013 22:04

Maybe Saul has to be seen to be on the side of the CIA and is going overboard...when really he has a masterplan to save Carrie & Brody.

Trills · 16/10/2013 22:06

I'm actually quite enjoying it without Brody.

Trills · 16/10/2013 22:09

Dana had a bit of a "thing" with the son of the man (vice president?) who had the heart attack? And so was the son at the memorial thingy, and now dead? And nobody has mentioned that in the leadup to the suicide attempt, not only did her dad kill a bunch of people, but her boyfriend was one of them?

Saul was being a dick about the headscarf, certainly. I wonder if that was supposed to show us how much he was hurt by the attack, so much that he lashed out at anyone who even slightly reminded him of "the enemy"?

GypsyFloss · 16/10/2013 22:13

Good point Trills about the Vp's son. I think they could have explained her leap to suicide a little bit and maybe that it part of it.

SmellyFartado · 16/10/2013 22:51

Evening All,

Still digesting Sunday's episode and have concluded thus:

  • Dana is DDDDDDDDDDDDDDdddddddddddddduuuuuuuuulllllllllllllllll. Enough of the Dawson's Creek angsty bollocks
  • Quinn gets hotter and hotter with every episode although he had me with the naked bum shot last series
  • Saul is a good 'un and up to stuff
  • Mrs Saul is a bad 'un and up to stuff
Trills · 17/10/2013 08:13

Where's Mike?
