It was just so stupid as well as he should have just explained to Alicia what happened. Very unconvincing. And Priya knew well he loved Alicia that's why sh dumped him.

Why did David think he didn't love her all along anyway, was never clear on that. She didn't do anything did she?

I love the way Cain talks to Moira about his feelings. When she said she needed a man that loves her and he said she's got one. You're not my husband, maybe I should be :o Just use the actual words my love, you know you want to.

It's gone a bit boring now since all the drama of last week, now we will have the "will they won't they tell Rhona" crap for a while and I suppose it will be Vanessa who tells her and then says she thought Paddy had already told her......boring...........

I think people have taken against Priya because she's princessy, bridezilla-ish and seems very self-centred. She has been bitchy to and about Alicia a lot and obviously suspected David still had feelings for her but then launched into Alicia (while she was only just coming to after her bullet/stomach interface, and is now threatening to tell Jake who his birth mother is out of spite and hurt. She's very 'me me me'.

Oh and she was absolutely vile to Rachel when she found out Rishi was Archie's 'Dad'. Really looks down on people in general too.

how long has he been out of it? I actually thought he already was dead. did the actor pass away in RL and they needed to write him out? why didn't they just say he had died on his bike tour? very odd.

Yes, he died a while ago but it is normal in soaps to wait a bit before killing the character off.

The actor who played Alan Turner died a few months ago but you have remember that the program is filmed about 6 to 8 weeks before it is shown on TV.
The scenes about Alan Turners death would probably have had to been added on to the existing story lines.
I thought the scenes were very well done and showed a mark of respect and recognition for a long time member or the cast.
The actors involved did look genuinely upset.

I agree, they did look genuinely upset. I just don't understand why they had to 'bring him back' (but obviously no-one could see him) rather than just receiving news that he had died on his tour. I found last night's episode very very strange, no least because there was absoloutely no build-up to alan coming back. it was just "Alan's back. and now he's dead" it didn't seem right.

Richard Thorp was a lovely, lovely man.

It wouldn't have been right if his character had just died while he was away from the village imo so I'm glad they did it as they did.

I agree just they wanted to give him a respectful gentle send off, hence dying in his own bed.
Plus they had already done the dying off screen death for Clive Hornby.

Raising that's when I really started to dislike Priya the disgusting way she spoke about baby Archie showed her true character. Along with being a pathetic princess having a tantrum because daddy dared to have another baby without her permission.

Yeah that stuff really annoyed me about Priya. Mind your own fucking business! It's not like he was still with her mam either when he supposedly slept with Rachel (was he?)

Also is that Charlie off Coronation St at the farm tonight? Missed last night so don't know who he is yet.
