Is there a general Emmerdale thread?

I've found a couple of threads about particular characters but was wondering if there was one just for general observations and if we could have a hands up to see if anyone else cried at Brenda's hair thing. I thought all those tears and smiles looked real

Alicia HAS to live. Otherwise there'd be no reason to have made David so not into the wedding/stag do arrangements or for Alicia to not have just lived happily ever after with Dom? Surely the only reason that she was a)shot but b)not fatally, was to bring David to his senses and realise that Alicia is the one for him? And Alicia said something the other day about Dom having stronger feelings for her than her for him. Soooooooo putting 2+2 together she will come through this. And David will break up with Princess Priya and job done! I hope so, anyhow.
