Is there a general Emmerdale thread?

I've found a couple of threads about particular characters but was wondering if there was one just for general observations and if we could have a hands up to see if anyone else cried at Brenda's hair thing. I thought all those tears and smiles looked real

The subtitles said French pop music on the first channel he was watching so I guess his hotel can pick up ITV even though he is in France. Surely nowhere else would be showing french music? :o
