Is there a general Emmerdale thread?

I've found a couple of threads about particular characters but was wondering if there was one just for general observations and if we could have a hands up to see if anyone else cried at Brenda's hair thing. I thought all those tears and smiles looked real

I'm also fed up with the Amy storyline. I have an adopted DD and there is no way at all that SS would allow that to happen. Contact arrangements are set when the child is adopted but even then are not legally binding. The adoptive parents can stop any contact of they wish. Beyond that it's no different to anything else. The adoptive parents have parental responsibility etc. really pisses me off when soaps can't get basic facts straight. Rant over Grin. I also heard that Cain was leaving!

I don't much like Sarah either.

I also think that Amy getting Kyle back would be ridiculous but I just realised that this happened on Eastenders for anyone who watched it around 5 years ago. Slightly different in that the adoptive grandmother eventually died, I think, but Sonia and Martin got their daughter back which makes me think it will happen on Emmerdale too Angry

Who do you reckon gets shot, my money is on David or Alicia, I haven't seen it anywhere but that's my guess.

I think Pria might get fatally shot. That would clear the way for David to admit his true feelings for Alicia and not have to worry about upsetting Pria (because she'd not be around). Or Alicia could get shot (not fatally) and David will also realise how much he loves her when it hits him that he could have lost her. Or David will get shot (also not fatally), so the wedding can't go ahead and while he's recovering will take stock of his life and realise he has to marry Alicia.
Either that or none of this :) Do we know if whoever get shot is killed?

Hayleyh34 Sorry I didn't mean to imply that it could happen in real life. It's just that it has happened in another soap so there's no reason why Emmerdale would be bothered about staying true to life.
