Is there a general Emmerdale thread?

I've found a couple of threads about particular characters but was wondering if there was one just for general observations and if we could have a hands up to see if anyone else cried at Brenda's hair thing. I thought all those tears and smiles looked real

I'm really not liking the Andy Amy thing at all, it just isn't right, mind you I can't stand him and think it's high time he was written out of it. Surely to god people would have more cop on than to invite themselves to tea when the main star is a small child most of them haven't even met. Eric is the only one with any sense out of the whole lot of them and why was Diane there, she muscles in everywhere, I know she is Vals sister but she really has nothing to do with Kyle at all. Amy should have told them all to sod off, oh and when Andy is being written out of it could he please take Victoria with him.

Ashley doesn't seem able to control his temper. Doesn't seem to have realised he needs help after how he treated his father and now yelling at Edna. He's really abusive still.

Anyone else surprised at Lisa being such an interfering sort of MIL with Rachel? It doesn't seem to fit the character at all as she's usually sensitive and empathic ? I just can't see her cutting Archie's hair. It's not her. It's like the writer has given her a bit of personality change.

Just wanted to slap Val tonight for just not 'getting it' over Amy/Kyle/Grandma situation.

Amy is beginning to get on my nerves now, she has no rights over Kyle and the way she is carrying on it's like Joanie stole him or something, she needs to be told to back off again, at least Andy is talking sense for once

Agree about Lisa, that was very out of character for her, I hope she doesn't turn into an interfering mother in law

Totally agree re Amy and Kyle situation. I know it must be so painful for Amy now that she's bonded with him but she can't seem to understand that she doesn't have any rights to see him and is totally dependent on Joanie agreeing to her visiting. I think Kyle probably slipped into the water but am not surprised that Joanie now doesn't trust Amy on many different levels.

Lisa just wouldn't interfere like this usually. Wonder why they've suddenly decided to make her so insensitive towards Rachel and Archie.

I thought the scene with Rodney doing his escort work was really funny and well done tonight.

I feel like chucking things at the telly when Amy is on. The situation is not helped by almost everyone around her encouraging her delusions, The voice of reason that is eric that she should take things easy and consider Joanie and Kyle's feelings just lost on her, she ever doesn't listen or makes him out to the bad guy despite him having her best interest at heart.
Andy seemed to be coming around and try to calm her down, but i really didn't like his attitude when Joanie came round to discuss the (entirely reasonable IMO) rules for contact. He was there scowling in the background, saying something like "is that it then?" in a semi aggrerssive tone as if Joanie was having a unfounded go at Amy.
IMO Joanie has been very accomodating to Amy, despite Amy acting totally out of line, having just lost her daughter and coping with a toddler.
