HA

more than half goes on pensioners. That's your winter fuel allowance nick. That you don't bloody well need.

GIVE IT BACK

Lighthousekeeping · 11/07/2013 21:36

I usually like Nick and Margaret so, I'm switching this on with trepidation.

ubik · 11/07/2013 21:36

Poor - I agree

I am totally fed up with being patronised by the BBC

OhYouBadBadKitten · 11/07/2013 21:36

:) at nick and Margaret's convo. ( not that we should pit pensioners against the unemployed!)

OhYouBadBadKitten · 11/07/2013 21:37

A year ago or so, I barely knew that we had food banks in the UK, probably naively. I thought it was a US thing.

ubik · 11/07/2013 21:37

And the government won't touch pensioners because they vote

LynetteScavo · 11/07/2013 21:38

I was thinking "Get a whole chicken, and it will last 2 meals" (If you're stingy)

Chubfuddler · 11/07/2013 21:38

Indeed ubik

breatheslowly · 11/07/2013 21:38

Why isn't there someone following a pensioner living in one room because they can't afford to heat the whole bungalow?

TattooEnvy · 11/07/2013 21:39

OhYou, I didn't know either

Chubfuddler · 11/07/2013 21:40

God that woman in the food bank is lovely.

TattooEnvy · 11/07/2013 21:41

Liam isn't putting himself across too well is he..

gemdrop84 · 11/07/2013 21:41

What a big big mess it all is, shocked that over half goes on pensioners and unemployed only makes up 10%. Going to switch off, it's making me angry!

bico · 11/07/2013 21:41

I think that the increased cost of food is something that is just not being spoken about so this and the GBM programmes at least do that.

Chubfuddler · 11/07/2013 21:41

Liam is a bit of a prat.

breatheslowly · 11/07/2013 21:42

The disability benefit thing is a bit of a drip feed.

WafflyVersatile · 11/07/2013 21:42

Nick and Margaret seem sensible enough.

And that bloke seemed a little bit swayed looking at the other guy's incoming and outgoings sheet.

breatheslowly · 11/07/2013 21:42

I'm shocked by how much food has shot up by.

poorbuthappy · 11/07/2013 21:43

Turn off the BBC network and plough the money into helping people, through benefits, training, opening up Re-employ throughout the county again.

Fucking hell, I need to turn this absolute fucking crap off.

Chubfuddler · 11/07/2013 21:44

Oh.

So Liam perhaps not so much of a prat.

It's massively drip feeding.

TattooEnvy · 11/07/2013 21:44

Exactly what I just thought Chubfuddler

PseudoBadger · 11/07/2013 21:45

So many twists! Did M Night Shalayman write this :o

StillSlightlyCrumpled · 11/07/2013 21:46

This programme is not helping my mood!

bico · 11/07/2013 21:46

I think it is a pretty sympathetic programme.
