I am so excited!

DH takes over all catering for this fortnight (he does it at other times too) so I can plump my cushions, grab the handchange & get watching.

I'd like to be saying who I was putting my money on to win - but I really can't decide between Rafa, Federer Djokovitch & Murray.

I'd just say that it will be one of them and, sadly, I'd put Andy in last place.

Two weeks of tennis coming up!!

Bring it on. Wine (pimms) & Grin

I'd love to see Wilf Tsonga do well.

Be nice to have a strawberries and cream emoticon as well as the Tennis!

Morning all :)

Forecast today is for a lovely day :) very little chance of any showers. Could feel quite warm on the sunny sides of the court, don't forget sun cream!

Tomorrow, there is still a risk of showers in the afternoon/evening but the risk is lower than it showed yesterday.

Nice on Thursday too :)

Friday, some uncertainty, but there could be a bit of a problem with showers.

Raahh · 25/06/2013 09:09

NewGirl- very Envy -glad you enjoyed yourself.

Tuesday ORDER OF PLAY

Ferrer is the one I'm looking forward to. The Djoko match will give a good indication of the form he is in.

Heather Watson and Laura Robson both up- hope they do better than Elena.

Interesting listening to radio/tv re-Nadal. You can tell the people who only take an interest during Wimbledon fortnight, and have no idea what has gone on the rest of the year. It was a bad loss- but would have been a much worse result for Nadal had it happened at RG, I think.

Still thrilled about the Hewitt match (though I do like Stan) - a really good match to end Monday on.

C'mon Tuesday- Vamos Ferrer!!

Raahh - is Wednesday next week scheduled to be womens' quarter finals day?

Have to go off somewhere or the day one day next week & as am not so interested in the womens' tennis thought this would be a good idea.

I think so, weather permitting. Then semis in theory on Thursday. It was when I went, but that was a looooooong time ago.

Raahh · 25/06/2013 10:25

Actually, the quarters could be Tuesday...

trying to work it out

noddyholder · 25/06/2013 10:32

Weather lovely today SmileTennis Anyone else love Ferrer or is it just me? I would love him to win something

noddyholder · 25/06/2013 10:32

Sorry should have read thread before posting!

ClayDavis · 25/06/2013 10:32

I would say Tuesday off the top of my head. Think men's quarters is on Wednesday.

Robson has a tough draw so I think Watson has the better chance of getting through but will be cheering them both on.

BaconAndAvocado · 25/06/2013 10:36

Hello Fellow Wimblers!

Wow! Yesterday was a superb start to the proceedings, though I was really disappointed the French lass didn't beat the Sqwarker.

Nadal obviously wasn't his usual self but in his post-match interview he took nothing away from Darcis' outstanding performance. More please!

PS what's the story with Sharapova and Seren Williams??

noddyholder · 25/06/2013 10:39

Sharapova called Serena a marriage wrecker! And also Serena made some remarks about a rape case saying the girl shouldn't have been out and drinking etc and sharapova was very critical of that. That is what I have gathered from twitter anyway

Stila · 25/06/2013 10:41

When I went to mens quarters they were the 2nd Wednesday - so yes if all goes to plan women's would be Tuesday .

I've not used a ball yet so ........... Tennis Tennis Tennis

BaconAndAvocado · 25/06/2013 10:42

Oo-er! Do the ladies not get on, off court?

Serena is now a Jehovah's Witness methinks? Always found the Williams sisters a bit arrogant and ungracious in defeat, total opposite to Nadal yesterday!

noddyholder · 25/06/2013 11:10

I think serena's new partner has a wife and 2 children so it seems fidelity within jehovah's witnesses is quite fluid

BaconAndAvocado · 25/06/2013 11:12

Indeed Grin

ChuckitintheBucket · 25/06/2013 11:17

Womens quarters on Tuesday, mens quarters on Wednesday..next week that is.

101handbags · 25/06/2013 11:17

I was on no. 1 court yesterday and the atmosphere and the noise was just incredible. I've been going to Wimbledon many years and always hoped that one day I would see a big upset and yesterday it happened. Sorry all you Rafa fans, but was shouting like a crazy woman for Mr Darcis (Murray or Djok for me - or failing that, Tsonga).

noddyholder · 25/06/2013 11:20

I think Darcis played the match of his life. WHo faces him nest? Often people who cause a big upset never do much more although he did have a good game

Raahh · 25/06/2013 11:32

noddy- that's very true. After Rosol beat Nadal last year, he was comprehensively beaten in his next round. And lost in the first round yesterday. I have to say, I don't think Darcis will get much further. Although he plays Kubot in the next round-think he's Polish, and very close to Darcis in the rankings, so you never know, Steve could get to the 3rd round.
