I am so excited!

DH takes over all catering for this fortnight (he does it at other times too) so I can plump my cushions, grab the handchange & get watching.

I'd like to be saying who I was putting my money on to win - but I really can't decide between Rafa, Federer Djokovitch & Murray.

I'd just say that it will be one of them and, sadly, I'd put Andy in last place.

Two weeks of tennis coming up!!

I honestly haven't felt this miserable over a tennis match since Edberg lost to Becker in the '89 final. But at least it was a final. How sad is that?

Nadal is always gracious in defeat- it's part of his charm. He knew before the tournament that his chances were slim. I think there will be serious doubt over the US open, being as the hard courts are even worse for his knee.

On the plus side, he's already qualified for the end of year masters, based on the other results he has. (No one else has yet reached the cut off). I hope he is fit to play.

Hewitt is a terrier- he's not won yet, but he's not far off.
