What? Buried?? Did that happen today? I just saw her being shot at the end of the episode!

I would like to know why there was no blood, it was all very clean.

Also, I know Harry is a superstar basketball player on tour but surely if Paul can pay for Sophie to fly first class to comfort him he could have done the same so Harry could be at the funeral. That annoyed me, surely if Kate really was the best person in the world he would have missed a couple of games to be at her funeral (even if it had to be a different actor).

Dane is Kyle's cousin, he's been in the show before running Kyle's business when Kyle couldn't work for some reason or another. He's like a blonde version of Kyle and I hope he's coming back, he was fun.

I think Holly Valance's sister is playing the Willis sister who is currently in Canada but might have got that wrong.

Zeke isn't gay.

I had the impression from the bit at the end of episode 2 that Kate was the target and that it was connected to Paul.

How can Ruby be Lauren's daughter? She was Asian and Lauren and Brad are not.

How old was Kate supposed to be? According to her headstone she'd have been 22... I thought she was much older!

I know, I was surprised at age 22.

I thought she'd been a teacher for the past 3 years. They must qualify super fast in Oz!

I seem to remember her doing a term at uni and then miraculously got a job at her local school? A bit like retired Susan was the only suitable person in all of Australia to come back as head teacher when Priya died

Australians don't seem to require formal teaching qualifications. Anyone who fancies it, or lives in the same street as some kids or teachers can start teaching at the school. Also, policemen can become mechanics without formal training, but only if they are prepared to work without wearing a shirt.

I couldn't believe the speed of the funeral. One minute she was shot, the next she was buried with a headstone! Oh well, I suppose they had to hurry because of the queue of people waiting to dance on her grave.

I thought Zeke was gay too. I'll be stunned if he is about to marry a woman.

I haven't seen much Neighbours recently, on account of work being a bit rubbish, so please can someone explain how the witness protection bit ended so that Mark could come back? (I realise this may have been covered in the thread, but I can't be bothered to go RTFT back through 38 pages, I'm afraid.)

Also, what's wrong with just watching Neighbours, rather than Neighbours: The Shooting - Part 1? It was unnecessary, IMO.

The person after him died, if I remember correctly, Ebear.

The whole shooting thing was an attempt to make Neighbours look exciting and entice new viewers.

I agree with all the comments re today's episodes! Is Susan the Head again now?!

It's not looking that exciting to me. It's making me think, the people I've known who've died IRL have been from illness or accidents. How come so many people in soaps die from crime? It's not real. Even with people like Paul.

Yeah, yeah, I know it's not real, but it's not realistic, either, is probably what I really mean. (Of course I won't stop watching, if I am home from work on time.)

The thing with neighbours is it's so ridiculous it's great.

Yes suddenly it's OK to come out fo witness protection because the one that's after you has died, he had no friends to continue the vendetta...

I think it's going to be a cast shake up.

That's the other thing about neighbours is the speed of storyline, no dragging it out Eastenders style.

Nice and simple, just what I like when I'm not working.

IMO Neighbours is the perfect soap - escapist, frothy, fun, not too much focus on "ishoos" or gritty realism.

I was a bit disappointed by the whole shooting/funeral as well, thought it would be a bit more dramatic & gory. Still at least she's gone!! A cast shake-up would be good and that trailer looked good too.

Sophie and Zeke are together surely? There was proper chemistry there!! I missed the second episode as ds was at judo and the stupid planner didn't record it. But, it's just today's episode anyway isn't it?

YES!!!!!! She's finally dead! I was worried that she would only get shot and that Chris would be the one to snuff it for a while.
It was the most unrealistic looking shooting ever though!

He just said that you see the shooter in the clip shown. The only people in the clip was Sophie, Zeke, Kyle and Georgia

Didn't we see Paul making a phonecall a week or so ago to get rid of Mark, saying money was no object? I'm sure I remember that so am thinking it could all be his fault. Plan backfired?

Ok, weirdly, I am now watching on C5 the episode you have all been talking about with the funeral. Did they repeat both episodes again today then??
