Its like they throw a new writer into the pot and they fast forward everything. I missed one episode and there was an eclipse, someone blinded, a psychotic break, a baby abduction and Brennan and Brad returned.

I sat through weeks of aimlessly meandering storylines in order to miss all that.

things are hotting up with the Gem/Bailey storyline. why isn't sonya sticking her nose in when toady told her?

also Gem's skirt today, couldn't be any shorter.

My main concern is if Karl becomes mayor, what will become of the residents of Erinsborough if they need medical care? They'll be doomed, no one else can cover every single speciality the way he can, surely?

Isn't Imogen fantastic?! Didn't think much of her at first but she's really grown on me.

Imogen has shown a lot of spirit standing up to evil Gem. And there was a baby in Lauren's dream today! Beginning to think pp were right when they suggested Mason was really Brad's son.

And has anyone else noticed how they seem to be sponsored by Superdry at the moment? First Chris the Josh wearing their stuff.

People must be right about doubts over Mason's paternity. Or else that was some severe overacting on Lauren's part to dreaming about an invisible baby.

Missed the imogen/gem thing. just seen when she told sonya and they went to the school meeting. What happened?

Imogen reported Gem to Susan for favouring the boys. Then she saw Gem holding hands with Bailey at the lake (v disturbing) and reported her again. So Gem looked up Imogen's file and threatened to tell everyone about the bulimia.

Bailey denied the handholding to everyone after Gem talked to him about how "no-one would understand." They are actually getting across the grooming/emotional manipulation of Bailey by Gem much better than I thought they would. If it wasn't part of a storyline about "this character is deranged" it would be more realistic though.

I like Imogen too. Also not that I like her, but at least Gem is interesting compared to Josh/Amber/Matt/Brad/Therese and all the other new characters lately.

Sonya is so irritating. The stylists must hate her too. Her outfit today was awful.

I wonder how long they will spin the Mason thing out for?

love the way there is no dragon like secretary in the office and gem can help herself to the school records so easily. was she wearing the same outfit still.

Sonya was actually being quite impressive and useful rather than being really nosey and annoying.

yes agree sonya looks awful. yes the characters are bland especially lauren. also Amber has changed, she used to be so clingy and in your face.

I now know why Josie looked familiar. They used the same actress to play nasty-mean-girl when Sophie went to private school.

Neighbours - do well with the first part you play and they may give you another one...

I'm also wondering when/how the Kate thing will come out about Kyle as it surely must! Will the return of the gorgeous Brennan have something to do with it?

Good point about the subtlety of Gem's grooming as well. She has really got inside Bailey's head.

Also love how Erinsborough High has only one classroom - and no science equipment by the looks of it either!

I thought Gem suspected about Kate and Kyle before, but she wouldn't be keeping it to herself for long if she knew for sure.

I think we will be waiting quite a while for Brennan, 6 months or so. Sadly.

What's going on next week? The description on my sky planner for every day is that apparently Sonya is upset by Walter's betrayal and something about Rani?

You appear to have gone back in time Amandine. More bad acting from Lauren over Brad, Mason getting cold feet over Rhiannon again, and more disturbing Gem and Bailey stuff I think.

I know the teacher thing has been done before on neighbours - Libby with ? then Rachel with male teacher but the characters were quite pleasant but because Gem is so weird and conniving against Georgia etc it seems much worse to me.

And Kate with the teenage boy. I think the difference is that Gem appears to be directly grooming and manipulating Bailey. I think Rachel and whoever met on a night out and he subsequently became her teacher. Also the age gap was more like 2 years with Kate and with Libby and her student IIRC. Not that it was ok. They are presenting this quite differently.

Lot of safeguarding issues in that school though!
