Sensing that too! She might be wonderful though!

What with the children being homeschooled and the dad working from home too it all sounds really suffocating. I can not warm to the Sullivan family. Well the parents anyway. The kids seem lovely, seems massively unfair to leave a what, 18 year old lad and his 13 year old sister to take care of the 9? younger children because mum and dad have decided to have yet another baby.

I do like Tracey. They seem such a close family and she seems so happy with her lot.

Spero · 19/03/2013 21:27

The other mum seems so warm and lovely. Tanya... Not so much.

SchroSawMargeryDaw · 19/03/2013 21:28

Desperately I completely agree, I feel quite uncomfortable watching them tbh.

Spero Agree, I really don't like Tanya.

PISS ORF TWITCHY The mum is mine!

Terrible cabin fever, doesn't sound like she even takes them to the park/duck pond/shopping/coffees and cakes/play dates/sleepovers/ how are these kids meant to socialise and survive in the real world.

NuhichNuhaymuh · 19/03/2013 21:29

Scared - she's this far from grabbing him screaming HES MINE!!!!!!!!!!

ArbitraryUsername · 19/03/2013 21:29

In my completely inexpert opinion, I'd say Tanya has serious issues.

SchroSawMargeryDaw · 19/03/2013 21:30

I think in such a big family, they need school really. Even if not so much for the education but for developing social skills.

Tanya comes across very very paranoid of the outside world in every single tv show she's done.

NuhichNuhaymuh · 19/03/2013 21:32

When tanya was talking about the family/friends thing and it being terrible when it ends I was expecting her to say she's disowned by her family (she's already mentioned no babysitters/ family hasn't she)

Spero · 19/03/2013 21:33

But she wants them closer to their siblings than any one else! She is in for a mighty shock when she is hit with a tsunami of teenage hormones.

SchroSawMargeryDaw · 19/03/2013 21:33

I think I have only seen her in this one.

Total mil from hell. Feel really sorry for maddie having mil at 12 week scan - how inappropriate. I can imagine the conversations Charles has with her behind closed doors!

SchroSawMargeryDaw · 19/03/2013 21:33

Spero That sounds like an utter nightmare...

As quite an assertive formidable person myself...Tanya kinda scares the bejesus out of me if I'm honest. You wouldn't mess with her.

Tracey is very loving and even if she does seem a bit full on, I bet she's the type who would come over in the middle of the night to her exhausted dil who's knackered with the new baby. I think she's very genuine :)

Spero · 19/03/2013 21:34

She said she had no family support. These children are being deliberately isolated, which I think is unfair and shortsighted.

SchroSawMargeryDaw · 19/03/2013 21:35

It is unfair. I think she'll either realise her mistake at some point or be the type of person to deny she caused a problem and say she gave them everything they needed.

The eldest teen looks utterly defeated and washed out. But the other boys are all very close in age. I feel quite mean that I am anticipating a shit time ahead but how does she really think she is going to exercise this level of control for the foreseeable future?

DesperatelySeekingSedatives · 19/03/2013 21:36

I realise I have used the word "seem" an awful lot! Blush Grin talk about sitting on the fence!

Tracey may well be a pain in the arse as a MIL however I think if she is it'll be with the best of intentions. (This can of course be infuriating ime) I just dont get mean bitch vibes from her.

I wonder how much interaction the Sullivan children have with other kids theyre not related to? They dont seem to have any extended family (granny, cousins, aunties etc). Maybe it doesn't matter as there is so many of them they'll never get lonely but one of the things I like about my DD being at school is the social interaction she has with other people. Not just the other kids but teachers, lunchtime assistants other parents. socialising with other people outside of your home should be part of everyday life.

There is something about the oldest girl too (Caitlyn?) She really is lovely but she must be so lonely.

AnnabelKarma · 19/03/2013 21:36

Tanya is controlling with serious issues.

Tracey is lovely but is a martyr mummy and I could not live like that. I don;t raise my boys to be waited on, I could never inflict that on another woman.

InNeedOfBrandy · 19/03/2013 21:37

Actually tracey has now made my teeth itch. Urgh slightly to much devotion no?

shallweshop · 19/03/2013 21:37

Am crying at Charlie leaving and can so relate to how his mum must feel Sad. Dreading it even though my kids are only 8 and 6!

JazzAnnNonMouse · 19/03/2013 21:38

I like her but I think she could do with some councilling and going out more
