They make a cute but unlikely couple IMO.

I watched it last night - video of Monday's Ch4 - if you have E4 you might be way ahead of me! Did look a bit convenient plot wise iykwim.

It did cross my mind that this might be about Abby and Carrie . But honestly, when did they become such great friends???

They're lovely. :) As much as I liked Gallant - he was mean and buggered off to fight when he had married her under the impression that he was done fighting... Ray is a nice bloke who isn't fighting.

Ray's character has really changed over time.

Much more mature now, but all the more likeable for it.

I think Ray is lovely. Was shouting 'kiss her' at the E4 episode tonight! DH tells me the actor was 'Dougie Howser MD'! Anyone else remember that? Must have a look on IMDB to see if it is true!

Gallant is not nice anyway, staying in Iraq when he should be cuddling his new wife (I see Flamesparrow agrees with me). Also he always seems a bit cold whereas Ray has suddenly warmed up.

(Jamiesam, E4 is now 2 episodes ahead of Ch 4 which is really annoying if you (like me the other week) miss the E4 one and try to catch it on Monday night....only to have to wait another week and meanwhile there's another Thurs pm one on E4.....)

I think by showing the disarray of Gallant's parents' marriage after a life in the services, they were giving us a socking great signpost as to what is going to happen to Neela and Gallant.
I like both the men tbh, but Ray's the one who has grown on me massively. And Gallant was very obtuse about going back out to Iraq.
Abby and Kerry have worked together for yonks, maybe that is all it is. It would probably have been fab Susan Kerry asked had she not bailed out to Iowa.

Why did I read this thread? I missed an episode on E4 so I'm back to watching it on C4. Now I know stuff I really shouldn't know yet IYSWIM.

Note to self - stop clicking on threads about TV programmes, you always end up regretting it.

if you miss the Thursday night E4 episode (which I end up doing because I'm watching House and can't be arsed to Sky + it), they show it on a Sunday night at 8pm on E4 again - which is normally a great time because there's nothing else on then.

I miss Susan too. I had the huge treat (really must get more) of seeing some old repeats while ds was on a playdate and I felt all warm and cheerful to see Susan again :)
