Lazy old git, wasn't he?!!

OP posts:
foxinsocks · 03/05/2006 21:06

yes I thought he was much better

all these poor women who feel crap about themselves - tis very sad

Whizzz · 03/05/2006 21:06

Yes - so many issues !

PanicPants · 03/05/2006 21:08

So how come she did have a black eye? I only caught the end where the twins were on the rocking horse onwards.

Whizzz · 03/05/2006 21:09

She'd had a fit just before entering the house

cod · 03/05/2006 21:09

oh PP keep UP

cod · 03/05/2006 21:09

she did look fatter today

MagicGenie · 03/05/2006 22:49

Yeah, thought Larry did a bit better tonight. Great viewing but really sad when Tanya started getting to the nitty-gritty i.e. Sarah losing her father/being sent to boarding school so young etc :(

I'm convinced that the twin who sleeps in the right hand bed is a little robot. It's always the one in the left bed who starts the crying at bedtimes, and the right one just seems to get up and go along with it/copy what the other one's doing. No experience of twins myself...amazing to watch 'em.

Eulalia · 04/05/2006 10:41

Why don't they have bedrails up - one of the twins fell out of bed and obviously woke up and started crying. I am pretty sure me and my twin were in a double bed at that stage or perhaps still in a cot but can't remember if we woke each other up or not.

sandyballs · 04/05/2006 10:48

Tanya is sooo lovely isn't she. Fascinating how our parenting is shaped by our own childhood. Scary too.

bramblina · 04/05/2006 10:54

MacGenie I pmsl at that bit, sa but sweet.
Foxinsocks I did answer you the other day! A tad late tho.
Did you hear old Larry when Tanya suggested he put his arm round nlue eyes "oh goodness no, we're on television!"

bramblina · 04/05/2006 10:55

Bugsy2 · 04/05/2006 10:56

Sandyballs, everything we do is shaped by our childhoods - it is terrifying!

foxinsocks · 04/05/2006 19:06

awww thanks bramblina

Whizzz · 04/05/2006 20:18

This prog is so cool...

MagicGenie · 04/05/2006 22:19

What did you all think of it tonight?

That girl Sarah breaks my heart.

I feel that Morton guy constantly holds back...don't think we've ever seen the real 'him'.

auntyquated · 04/05/2006 22:22

agree about poor sarah

but the hairdryer bsuiness at the very beginning had me pmsl....funniest part so far

jamsam · 04/05/2006 22:23

jalopy, you hit the nail on the head there..i was cringing and crying ( quiet hard to do) at the same time..

fireflyfairy2 · 04/05/2006 22:33

Sarah said tonight that her and larry do not even have a proper relationship anymore. He is more like a father figure to her, like you needed to be psychologist to figure that one out!

I agree that we are not seeing the real Morton/Morty. Even his smile sometimes look rehearsed. Did his wife have a stomach Op? I heard her say she had an op so that her kids wouldn't be embarrassed at the school gates :(

Is Kim married, she wears wedding rings, but I wondered why her dh wasn't in the house, anyone know? Looking forward to tomorrow nights :)

Eulalia · 05/05/2006 10:26

Find this prog fascinating to compare my homelife. ds is autistic and dd has practically had no discipling at all. If I discipline her then he wades in and tries to do the same or will hit her. So often she gets away with things but surprisingly is very well behaved. She's just turned 4 and still has the odd tantrum but really I am quite amazed at how well she co-operates and how happy she is. Just goes to show how much of it is how you are as a parent, how happy you are etc and how much bad behaviour is just attention seeking or feelings of insecurity rather than just wanting to be bad.

unicorn · 06/05/2006 03:09

Did anyone else feel.. hmmmmm.. slightly cheated by Tanya ignoring the old fella (Larry?)and all his problems (or maybe I missed an episode?)

I reckon he only agreed to go on the prog if the focus wasn't on him.... but how fair/realistic is that?

jalopy · 06/05/2006 07:35

Unicorn, I reckon Tanya could have done a whole programme on him. Given the limited amount of time she had, I think she decided to concentrate on his wife and encourage her to change her relationship with him. Maybe in time, she would drop her servile role, gain more confidence in dealing with him and tell him to get off his backside.

Raggydoll · 06/05/2006 08:18

According to the website this series will be looking at selective mutism, autism and adhd as well as the usual eating, sleeping and behaviour problems. it has a summary of week ones families but no link for week 2 yet. oh well just have to wait for tomorrow night to meet them. btw - it also says there is a kind of summary prgramme on saturday night for those of you who missed it...

cod · 07/05/2006 20:21

missed fridays - dh deleted it

wot happened?

Wallace · 07/05/2006 21:42

New families in tonight. Boy with selective mutism had to go home on first day with chicken pox. I'm peed off as I was desperate to see what Tanya was going to suggest. Must be so disappointing for the family too.

QE · 07/05/2006 21:45

wallace - me too. ds3 has selective mutism and we are soo disappointed he has gone as we were hoping to find out what we could do with him to encourage him to speak with people outside the house. Hope the little boy gets wel soon though.

The little girl Natasha who only wants to sleep with her dad - what's going on there then? I reckon it's more that the dad needs her than the other way round - did you see him following her around the whole time they were playing on the slide?
