After the one with the Prime minister and pig, its got to be done..

I thought there was more to it than an idea actually.
It was a comment on living your life through social media, rather than reality. That was clearly signposted with his smartphone addiction whilst still alive. The idea that 'you' could be recreated from your online presence is interesting (particularly liked the scene where she said he looked well and he reasoned that you only upload flattering pictures of yourself). But ultimately, the message was that there's no depth to it, that you can only reveal so much of yourself online, and what you do reveal is merely a version of yourself, not the complete package.

DH has pointed out that the name 'Ash' may be a nod in the direction of the human-looking robot in Alien.....

I would also completely agree with Lulas theory.

reliablemillipede - I always wrap broken glass in lots of newspaper, otherwise anyone handling the rubbish could get cut.
