You watch Easties?

OP posts:
Shortbutsosweet · 12/06/2013 12:42

I agree twll!
Micheal is bar far the best character on eastenders.
If he does sleep with Alice could it be because he wanted to " pop her cherry?"
I can't see any other benefit for him.

lottieandmia · 12/06/2013 17:13

Michael is interesting as you find yourself always trying to work out whether he has any redeeming qualities or not.

Lauren and the drinking is getting boring now. I agree that Max, Tania and the rest are no longer interesting to watch.

cheerfulweather · 15/06/2013 14:51

Lauren and drinking is boring. I've heard (was it on here?) that Tanya is leaving shortly, and I really hope she takes Lauren with her. It's tedious. Another repeat storyline. Was only a few weeks ago that the teenage Liam was locked in his house, too.

Can't believe the Kirsty and pregnancy storyline is still running. She would be found out by now surely!

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/06/2013 18:07

MICHEAL did go cherry popping :)

Lauren is getting boring - same old storyline as phil - the way he came off booze and drugs was stupid

Solution to her drinking is obvious Grin

Get the queen Vic - club - mini market and any restaurants ie Scarlett's etc all refuse to sell her booze

We all know no one ever goes out of the square to go clubbing - out socialising - work etc

The only one who did was Bradley and look what happened to him ........

qazxc · 16/06/2013 15:18

About Janine/michael/scarlett.
How can it be right for one parent to take DC, leaving other parent not knowing where they are, if they are safe, when they can have contact?

But it was convincing, Alice sitting so miserably in the pub, devastated.

cheerfulweather · 16/06/2013 23:24

Last month (upthread) I predicted the Joey thumping Michael over Alice scenario I suppose it was obvious that was going to happen though.

ARealDame · 17/06/2013 09:49

Not to me, I don't think that far ahead usually! And the other thing is she "knows him so well" she knows what to do to get him where it hurts. On the other hand, he is so full of self-loathing anyway, e.g. his provocation of Joey, perhaps she won't.

p.s. Forgot to mention, the other story/acting I liked. The one with Carol and her menopause/failure issue. I think its just done really well. She is such a sympathetic character, and somehow very real (makes a lot of the other characters look very silly and synthetic by comparison).

differentnameforthis · 17/06/2013 10:04

Yes yes. Lauren is totally vile. Spoilt brat. What has happened to her that is so bad?

It all started when her mum asked her to keep her cancer a secret, she couldn't handle being the only one knowing, and all the time thinking she was going to lose her mum, she had no one to confide in.

Pretty big bloody ask really & it is no wonder she is how she is. She took to drink to forget about her mum's illness & she couldn't get off.
Now no one want to help her :(

PaintedBottom · 17/06/2013 10:17

On a few unrelated issues.... I think Kat looks really good with red hair, and more subtle make up. It seems to have 'softened' her usually harsh appearance.

And I don't know if anyone agrees, but they seem to have chosen the actor who plays Peter well, he does have similar features to the actress who plays Lucy....although he's a lot less stuck up....

VonHerrBurton · 18/06/2013 19:56

Oh. My. God. Just when I thought there wasn't any more room for random TERRIBLE actors, along comes Hercule Vicar on tonights episode (tue).

I'm sure there are thousands of real French actors out there that would love a gig on EE.

Think im gonna give up on EE altogether :)

NotQuitePerfect · 19/06/2013 09:08

VonHerr me too. Just can't be bothered anymore. Dull, tedious story lines & dull, tedious characters about whom I don't care (Dexter & his parents, 1 x dimensional Joey, wooden Lucy, boring Ian Beale, whinging Carol ...... almost every cast member actually!)

Only Michael & Kirsty are complex, interesting characters and yet the SW don't seem to be using them in a way that coud really invigorate the show.

I'm switching sides & going back to Corrie. Byeee! Wink

VonHerrBurton · 19/06/2013 10:11

I just WANT it to get better. Whhhyyyyy the stupid locking-lauren-in-then-it-will-be-fine story? Its shite. She will be glamourous and fabulous and shagging Peter in the next couple of weeks....cured totally.

Dot and various vicar-y people - boring. Fatboy and too good to be TRUE poppy - boring. Lauren and the whole family - boring. Ava (the Head that's never in work and has gone all street over the last few weeks) and dull ex - boring...

bleedingheart · 19/06/2013 10:25

How will they explain that Kirsty's ex was Derek's cellmate or is that going to be linked to how Max met her? Seems so far-fetched otherwise. Even more ludicrous that he would know about the tin and threaten Ian about it. Derek was a lone wolf.

Kirsty's hair is acting her everyone else off the screen at the moment. She's making a mistake as the bigger her hair gets the smaller her imaginery bump will appear.

Ava is never at school, just skulking around the market/cafe/garage scowling and wearing denim. She occassionally mentions having marking to do but why she has to bring it home during the day I'm not sure.

VonHerrBurton · 19/06/2013 10:49

Lol at the wearing denim and skulking around, that's what she does isn't it! Buying mops and washing up liquid!

ARealDame · 19/06/2013 13:02

I've stopped watching (mostly) but coming back here for updates Blush.

I like Poppy though, after finding her intense preppiness annoying for a long time. She has a wise, mature head on those young shoulders, and genuinely caring .

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/06/2013 15:17

Alice's stash was weird. Did she want to get caught? Stealing stuff that she doesn't need or want

Ava is never at school

Max never seems to work and sell cars yet can afford 2 houses

The vicar - Jesus what a plonker

Abbie - boring

Poppy does seem to be the sensible one

Cat looks fab with red hair :)

TwllBach · 19/06/2013 21:18

Alice's stash was wired, yes, but her mascara irritates me beyond belief Grin

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/06/2013 21:30

oh yes gawd, hasnt she heard of waterproof

lauracutee · 21/06/2013 12:12

EE is so boring at the moment - loads of characters with potential, but the storylines are just dull.

I think Alice and scary Micheal should get together (did you notice that Michael can swivel his head full circle and look behind him while he is facing forward?)

Looking forward to David Wicks and Ronnie coming back.

I had a very interesting dream about Joey and can'y bear to look at him now

TwllBach · 21/06/2013 13:12

Is ronnie definitely coming back then? I thought the Samantha Janus said she wouldn't ever come back?

Madamecastafiore · 21/06/2013 13:15

How did Alice (yawn yawn yawn) afford to have her teeth done?

How has no one twigged that Kirsty of dead animal on head is not preggers?

cheerfulweather · 21/06/2013 13:58

I'm looking forward to Ronnie coming back too. Didn't know about David.

Yes, yawn to Alice.

I still think Poppy is still pointless, but not half as pointless as Fatboy. She's almost a carbon copy of (personality and style esp), if anybody remembers, Billy's ex wife, Honey.

cheerfulweather · 21/06/2013 14:00

What has happened to Kirsty's hair? Is it intended to distract Max from the absence of a bump? She resembles a lion at the moment.
