On Graham Norton now. Why do I feel uncomfortable about Quentin Tarantino?

I have never seen his films so I have no opinion but why do I always feel really uncomfortable when I see him interviewed?

Any ideas?

Probably because he is a gigantic turd. He makes films with more style than substance, glorifies violence but gets aggressive when challenged.

HUGE ego. HUGE head.

fishcalledwonder · 11/01/2013 22:52

He has too much nervous energy. You can't relax because he isn't relaxed. He also has 'hungry eyes!'.

ThatVikRinA22 · 11/01/2013 22:53

no.

i like his films. they have never given me murderous tendencies.

he can be a bit stroppy in interview (anyone see the channel 4 news the other night? )but then again i can understand why....he has spent the last 20 years answering the same question.

MmeLindor · 11/01/2013 22:53

Am on phone so can't link - but go look for the CH4 interview.

He was so arrogant and dismissive.

Wanker

notnowbernard · 11/01/2013 22:53

I quite like Pulp Fiction though

ShebaQueen · 11/01/2013 22:53

Not sure, but I agree with you, he's so creepy and sort of manic. I've never seen any of his films either but DH says he's a genius Shock

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 11/01/2013 22:53

Because his proportions are all wrong.

He is vast, big chin, huge head, great big limbs. 400 years ago he would have been referred to as a giant and chased out of the village with burning torches.

He is unsettling.

ThatVikRinA22 · 11/01/2013 22:54

really? its about his looks?

mmmmm.

notnowbernard · 11/01/2013 22:54

Energy of Robin Williams...

MissyMooandherBeaverofSteel · 11/01/2013 22:55

I have a huge and weird crush on him No idea at all Grin

MaryMotherOfCheeses · 11/01/2013 22:56

Don't know, watched it for two minutes and DH put something else on.

What I want to know....:

Why are they all wearing such boring outfits? GreySuitsRUs?

[dull]

fishcalledwonder · 11/01/2013 22:56

Yes! Exactly like Robin Williams! Not relaxing to watch.

MorrisZapp · 11/01/2013 22:56

You haven't seen Pulp Fiction?

How is this possible?

Punkatheart · 11/01/2013 22:57

'Some people have compared my work to Shakespeare.'

Dick.

GlaikitFizzog · 11/01/2013 22:58

He could play jaws in James Bond. I've yet to see a QT film I like.

notnowbernard · 11/01/2013 22:58

I quite fancy James McAvoy ususally but not with that beard

MmeLindor · 11/01/2013 22:58

I can link was just being lazy.

coldcupoftea · 11/01/2013 22:59

Dunno, but I had forgotton how much I luurve James McAvoy

LetsFaceTheMusicAndDance · 11/01/2013 22:59

He's like a child in an adult's body I think.

I've never seen Pulp Fiction either Blush Am I missing out BigTime?
(Not seen Kill Bill/Resevoir Dogs either)

LetsFaceTheMusicAndDance · 11/01/2013 23:01

Graham Norton does well with any shower of guests but I can't really watch this cringe fest - and it's QT. It's like a physical reaction.

ThatVikRinA22 · 11/01/2013 23:01

agree about the beard on james mcavoy....not a fan of the beard.

i really like most of tarentinos films....and im really not a blood thirsty maniac. they are actually really good if you dont believe the hype.

notnowbernard · 11/01/2013 23:03

Resevoir Dogs is heavy on the Claret, if that makes you a bit uneasy

TepidCoffee · 11/01/2013 23:03

Random. Switched over on seeing this thread and my ex-bf from school was mentioned (sadly not James McAvoy).

ThatVikRinA22 · 11/01/2013 23:03

pulp fiction is genius.

so is resevoir dogs

and so are the kill bill films.
and i liked from dusk till dawn. he always seems to get great casts in his films....a bit unusual and it works.

not seen inglorious basterds.....he definitely has something different.
