On Graham Norton now. Why do I feel uncomfortable about Quentin Tarantino?

I have never seen his films so I have no opinion but why do I always feel really uncomfortable when I see him interviewed?

Any ideas?

hated pulp fiction didn't understand a lot as it was a faulty video tape but quite liked jackie brown, a very clever film.

MousyMouse · 11/01/2013 23:09

and the soundtracks of his films are amazing.

ClartyCarol · 11/01/2013 23:09

Yes definitely prefer James McAvoy non-beardy and also find it really weird hearing his Scots accent.

Quentin Tarantino is slightly unnerving; I know it's shallow to comment negatively
on his appearance but he is almost Frankenstein's monster-like.

notnowbernard · 11/01/2013 23:11

QT seems a bit more 'settled' than I've seen him before

Glad it's not just me, he gives me the creeps too.

LetsFaceTheMusicAndDance · 11/01/2013 23:15

It's really really not his appearance.

Love Alan Davies though, always have, always will!

ThatVikRinA22 · 11/01/2013 23:16

im a bit shocked at the comments on his appearance - its not like he can do much about that.

if it were a woman on and people were commenting about her odd looks im sure it would be pounced on.

how shallow?
im sure he is there to talk about his new film.

ggirl · 11/01/2013 23:17

I get the feeling he cannot understand a word the scottish actor says

TepidCoffee · 11/01/2013 23:17

Arf at Shakespeare. Hubba Hubba.

No, the director rather than the playwright. He's a bit younger...

notnowbernard · 11/01/2013 23:17

Emele Sande seems lovely

Crap song though ZZZZzzzzzz

LetsFaceTheMusicAndDance · 11/01/2013 23:17

Me too Beachy.
Saw his 'pre tour' working things out gig and the second half was brilliant.

I think there is something hugely sexy about him. Really surprised by the negative comments on here.

ggirl · 11/01/2013 23:18

that'llll be James McAvoy

happybubblebrain · 11/01/2013 23:19

I think he has amazing creative talent. He is very edgy and different. I think you never know what he's going to say or do next. He's impossible to predict so that's why you feel uncomfortable. I'm not watching it, but I've seen in him in interviews before and seen most of his filsm.

Haemadoots · 11/01/2013 23:19

I always thought QT was quite small and wiry, he looks feckin huge in between emilie sandie and James M

MousyMouse · 11/01/2013 23:20

did you see last week? with hugh jackman(?) and Billy Crystal?
they were very funny on the 'not understanding some from ooop norf' part.

MmeLindor · 11/01/2013 23:22

It's not his appearance. It was his attitude to the Ch 4 reporter that I disliked.

LetsFaceTheMusicAndDance · 11/01/2013 23:23

I did - it was very funny - though I got the feeling that was a gag they'd worked out beforehand.

OP posts:
LetsFaceTheMusicAndDance · 11/01/2013 23:24

I didn't see that interview on Ch 4 but IIRC I had the same reaction when I heard him interviewed on the radio so it's definitely not his appearance that makes me squirm.

The kill bill films are amazing

LetsFaceTheMusicAndDance · 11/01/2013 23:31

Yes I think his films appeal to a lot of people but I've never watched them and probably won't. I'm just interested in why I'm so creeped out by his interviews. It's very odd.

I don't like him and it makes me dislike his films. I can't help it! He just makes my skin itch. Not his looks, the way he is.
