I was just thinking that, Boff. I have that exact dress and hair from the don't speak vid (except my dress is a 14 Sad, and I wash my hair), I was just pondering whether that means I'm terribly young and a hep cat, or I haven't changed my style in 15 years...

IvorHughJackolantern · 04/11/2012 20:29

I used to have a pair of bright orange satin trousers. I coupled them with an acid green top that tied in the middle above my very flat tummy.

I bloody loved the 90s

LoveBox · 04/11/2012 20:29

Dropped into this thread for the first time, and it is completely nonsensical to the uninitiated! Nanfucker? Pin head? Chow mein?! Who are these people!

Can someone explain this all for me purlease?!

BellaTheGymnast · 04/11/2012 20:30

This is why old people shouldn't be in popular beat combos.

Raahh · 04/11/2012 20:30

I will admit to owning both No Doubt and Gwen Albums. No Doubt have been going for ages. At least 20 years. 'Tragic Kingdom' was a reallygood album- but we did rather over play it in the shop i worked in.

Me too, Greeny. Mine was above a launderette, in Oxford. We played Don't Speak loudly, at every break up. That and Alanis.

UltraBOF · 04/11/2012 20:31

The root maintenance for her barnet must be constant. How has it not turned to Brillo after all these years?

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 04/11/2012 20:32

"Old people"! Wtf

SuePurblybilt · 04/11/2012 20:32

I had black ones, Ivor, and a black satin jacket to go with. Right sexy, that.

FlibberdeGibbet · 04/11/2012 20:32

My 15 year old DD has just declared No Doubt to be "weird"...

They certainly like their tartan!

Raahh · 04/11/2012 20:33

Ah- now Alanis used to get me in trouble, for forgetting to skip the sweary bitsGrin

GreenEyesAndHam · 04/11/2012 20:33

My kids thought that was tragic Sad

SuePurblybilt · 04/11/2012 20:33

And Skunk Anansie. Where are they? Deaded?

Katiekitty · 04/11/2012 20:33

Just found three frozen Mr Kipling lemon cakes, am thawing them out on a radiator. Should be fine in about ten minutes.

ommmward · 04/11/2012 20:34

LoveBox

Nanfucker = Cardiac = Chris
Pin head = arthur (because he has a small head)
Chow mein = Jahmein (because that's what his name sounds like)
Baby Shits = Union J (because they wear trousers that are baby shit coloured)
Postcode 3 = pretty obvious (District 3)
And I can't remember what everyone calls Kai but it isn't complementary and almost certainly refers to chimneys

Rylan and Ella have no nicknames

BellaTheGymnast · 04/11/2012 20:34

Nanfucker (aka Cardiac Chris) = Christopher Maloney
Chow Mein = Jahhrrrmaaynne
Dysentery = District 3
Chimney Sweep = Kye
Baby Shits = Union J

er, think that's it.

SuePurblybilt · 04/11/2012 20:34

Dip 'em in tea, Katie. Speed things along.
If ANY of you buy Apeface's album, we're on non-speakers, ok?

jessiegee · 04/11/2012 20:35

Hi there:

Nanfucker - Chris Maloney
Chow Mein - Jahmane
Pin Head - James Arthur

Tuttutitlookslikerain · 04/11/2012 20:35

Sue, what if we're given it as a present?

SuePurblybilt · 04/11/2012 20:35

We have called Kye Chimbley, Medieval, Harald, PissHoles, Duckface - all sorts.

I think we should go for ManFlue.

SuePurblybilt · 04/11/2012 20:36

Tut - oh really

jessiegee · 04/11/2012 20:36

The judges and the rats?

BellaTheGymnast · 04/11/2012 20:37

I'm the same age as them there old folks, but I'm not honking out a dirge whilst staggering around like the population of Darlington on a Saturday night. Just awful.
