Poor Audrey and the honey trap!

Oh no! This was a horrible thing to do. Naughty Gail and Gloria. But surely Audrey deserves a second chance after standing by Lewis?

I have to say I find the reason for Aud and Lewis' split really unfeasible. I mean conman gets huffy because GF doubts him. Then even when Audrey explains it wasn't her idea or fault and apologises, he still won't go back, even though they love each other.

I just get it. I believe he genuinely loves Audrey but he's just thrown in the towel at the first hurdle.

YouOldSlag · 06/11/2012 08:01

I don't get I mean. He's thrown the baby out with the bathwater.

theliverpoolone · 06/11/2012 13:08

The honeytrap - does anyone remember when Gloria first said she was ill, the doctor rushed into the pub, and when he came back out he said something like "she's a very unwell woman...." - what was that all about, if she was faking it Confused. He hasn't been seen since to explain himself!

YouOldSlag · 06/11/2012 13:10

Perhaps Dr Carter meant "she's mad as cheese and should be bloody carted off"

theliverpoolone · 06/11/2012 13:29

I did wonder about that Grin. I don't know who called him out though - was it her? (think I'm overthinking this a bit more than the scriptwriters might have done!).

kenanddreary · 06/11/2012 15:21

I had forgotten about that. Did he really say 'she's a very unwell woman...'? Didn't hear that. I don't remember anyone calling him out to the pub. It was a bit random - we saw him leaving the pub but not actually arriving.

Perhaps Nigel Havers was always meant to leave the programme at this stage so they just have write him out IFYSWIM. Maybe he didn't have a long contract. Shame though - cos it definitely doesn't make sense that he wouldn't forgive Audrey.

SPOILER ALERT

Apparently Lewis was supposed to be killed by a car a few weeks ago so that he could do panto over Christmas but the bosses and the viewers liked him so much that they chucked that idea and are bringing him back after panto season instead of killing him off. In other words, It's not over yet....he'll be back!

alemci · 06/11/2012 16:35

Oh good, i quite like Lewis. Also quite like the cross dressing guy who used to be Russel in Butterflies.

Do you think Lewis is going to sort Gail out. He was glowering at her the other day.

Also has Sue Johnston had some sort of facelift?

YouOldSlag · 06/11/2012 17:16

Ah! Russell in Butterflies! ((penny dropping loudly)) that's where I knew him from!

YouOldSlag · 06/11/2012 17:18

It doesn't add up though, does it? Lewis says to Audrey "I love you, I know you're sorry, I blame Gail and Gloria, not you. Our relationship made me so happy..but..no, sorry, I'm off anyway"

It's so hard to believe.

kenanddreary · 06/11/2012 17:29

Oh please put me out of my misery! Which one is Russell? Just can't think!! Will probably remember as soon as I have posted this.

So glad that Lewis is coming back. I thought it was all a bit strange.

Sheila Corkhill has most definatley had a face lift. Remember how hammered she used to look when she was married to Jim Royle the first time around? I wonder what happened to our Barry? He was a looker.

Does anyone think that Sophie is going to cop off with the physio? Just a thought. Unless Kevin does but I would quite like Dophie to be a lesbian again, she hasn't been one for awhile.

Poor Audrey. Hasn't Nigel got lovely thick hair?

I loved Butterflies. I bet if I watched it now I would be Hmm Why did she go and meet Leonard in the park? Why couldn't she cook?

kenanddreary · 06/11/2012 18:44

Oh thank you Mutt! That was really bugging me!

I think 'Gloria' has looked quite old in Corrie - don't think the fake tan did her any favours. Don't quite know how but she looked a lot younger as a 'Royle'!

Didn't connect Sophie and the physio but do think something might happen with Kevin and the physio - there has been a lot of significant eye contact there. However, really, really want Kev and Sal to get back together.

Oh, where is it all heading? I felt sorry for Gloria by the end of it. I really like SJ and I hope she hasnt gone out of it for good.

I dont think there's any need for Tracey now and I hope she goes soon as there's no story left for her. Did Simon go with his dad on the cruise? when do you think they will be back?

kenanddreary · 06/11/2012 19:28

Had forgotten about Peter and Simon. No idea whether Simon went too. In fact - it passed me by that it was a cruise! Must pay more attention.

Have to say that I absolutely love Tracy - she is so outspoken. Never know what she will come out with next.

OP posts:
YouOldSlag · 06/11/2012 19:58

Simon is with Leanne, I don't think Peter went on a cruise. He was in a right state and needed space to get his act together.

No Tracey is a panto villain with silly lines that sound forced. She is also totally one dimensional wirh no redeeming features. Just not realistic.

lighthousekeeping · 06/11/2012 20:19

They went to catch a boat, Im sure they did.

theliverpoolone · 06/11/2012 20:29

lighthousekeeping I caught the end of something called Celebrity Pointless a couple of days ago, and the team was Jimmy Corkhill and some other bald bloke who it took me about 5 mins to realise was Barry Grant Grin Grin. Not quite such a looker now I'm afraid.

YouOldSlag · 06/11/2012 20:30

Yeah, didn't they go to Holland?

lighthousekeeping · 06/11/2012 20:41

To get wasted? Grin

YouOldSlag · 06/11/2012 21:58

LOL lighthouse. Yeah carla heard the red wine was cheaper over there!

alemci · 07/11/2012 14:39

at least Jimmy Corkhill aka Dean Sullivan wasn't wearing his usual get up of jeans and a matching denim jacket.

lighthousekeeping · 07/11/2012 17:43

I expected great things from Jimmy Corkhill after Brookside. He was a great actor. I wonder what happened to him? I remember him being as camp as Christmas was Brookie finished. That is all.
