Got a bit embroiled in the Omnibus having not watched for years.

Where is Sally Webster?
Where is Roy cropper's wife Hayley?
Why are Nigel Havers and Barbara Royle that funny colour?

OP posts:

She is similar but not related. She's Beth, I think she first turned up as an ex of Steve's, Steve called her up for a date when he was trying to either make Becky jealous or get rid of Tracey I can't remember which. When Steve and Tracey split up Steve had just bought the house that is now Kevin's, Tracey wouldn't move out so Steve moved back to the pub and rented a room in the house to Beth and her teenage son who is a bit of a loner (SNs alluded to but he is rarely seen) hoping it would force Tracey out. Anyway, Beth got a job in the factory and has now got together with Kirk. Steve sold the house to Kev, Beth got a new flat somewhere and Tracey went back to Ken and Deirdre.

Chesney, his girlfriend and their baby all live with Fiz and her baby in the old Battersby house.

I cannot top WhoKnows's masterful synopsis, Sparkling. Grin

Sparklingbroomstick · 27/10/2012 15:30

I think it is time for a cast clearout by the sound of it. There are loads already then they have introduced a new lot. Confused

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 27/10/2012 15:31

Mary is totally OTT isn't she? That storyline a few weeks ago where she developed a massive crush on Roy and tried to whisk him away was nearly as bad as the time she kidnapped Norris.

butisthismyname · 27/10/2012 15:32

Amy, Max, asda and aldi, baby jack, hope and joseph all live in the invisible creche. It's fab.

Sparklingbroomstick · 27/10/2012 15:34

Amy-Tracey luv's child
Max-no idea
Asda and Aldi-someone's twins? Devs?
Jack-Kevin and molly's?
Hope-Fiz's baby/child
Joseph-Maria's? She's going to be in DOI this year.

Did I get any right?

trinn · 27/10/2012 15:38

the lewis/gloria storyline is basically, gail and her family think lewis has scammed audrey out of £10,000 so gail's drafted in gloria, who tells lewis she is dieing, gloria then asks lewis to live with her in spain and she will leave everything to him in her will.

It can only end badly Grin

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 27/10/2012 15:39

Correct except

Max - Kylie (Becky's sister married to David)
Joseph - Chesney and GF (born when GF was playing Mary in nativity play)
Liam - Maria's

Sparklingbroomstick · 27/10/2012 15:42

Oh god David Platt has reproduced?

Whooooosualsuspect · 27/10/2012 15:44

Why is Tina having a surrogate baby with him out of Hollyoaks?

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 27/10/2012 15:54

No, Kylie had Max before meeting David, he's about 6.

Tina is having a surrogate baby for Issy and Garybecause they had a miscarriage (accidental PG) and decided it was too risky for her to have a baby withh her disability (EDS). Her sister, Chesney's GF, offered to have one for them but Ches didn't support this and it risked tearing all the families apart. Tina and Tommy are skint and in a lot of debt because Tommy's dad, Terry Duckworth, came back and conned them out of thousands of pounds they didn't have, which they borrowed from Tyrone, his GF is a complete psycho who has had them evicted from their flat and threatened them with all sorts ro pay it back, so they are desperate for money. Owen who is Issy's dad is stumping up for the surrogacy and has let them have his flat because he has moved in with Anna.

LineRunner · 27/10/2012 15:55

Tina's having a surrogate baby for Izzy and Anger Management.

Whooooosualsuspect · 27/10/2012 15:59

Ah, I wondered why she was doing it.

I've not watched properly for ages, I watched the omnibus in bed this morning.

Sparklingbroomstick · 27/10/2012 16:01

So did I Whooo then I had to start this thread because things were bugging me. Grin

Whooooosualsuspect · 27/10/2012 16:04

I'm glad you did Sparkling, because this thread has answered loads of my questions too Grin

BOOisthismwahaname · 27/10/2012 19:38

Asda and Aldi - asha and aadi - dev and sooooooonitas

BloodRedAlienReflux · 28/10/2012 16:32

Oh yeah! when Mary kidnapped Norris!! A la 'misery'!!! she should have 'cobbled' him!

member · 28/10/2012 16:50

Oh, this thread has been so timely! Have just started watching it again as dd1 wanted to because some of her friends talk about it.

Apart from watching the live tram crash episodes, I hadn't watched it since just after Mike Baldwin died & had no idea the relationship between the surrogatey/egg harvesty people. Or that Rita was married again & whether Dennis is a good 'un or not. And how the Hearsay one went from behind the bar at the Rovers to being in a management role at Underworld.

Sparklingbroomstick · 28/10/2012 16:53

Are you going to carry on watching member? I don't watch any soaps at all apart from the fabulous Doctors 1.45pm weekdays. I can't start watching but I am all intrigued now. Grin

member · 28/10/2012 17:02

For the moment as dd is still keen to - I could take it or leave it at the moment though. I think once they started putting it on multiple times/week, it did suffer.

ChippingInLovesAutumn · 28/10/2012 17:03

God you lot watch a load of tripe.

Thanks Trinn, I missed the bit where Gail was behind the Lewis & Stella's Mum thingy

ChippingInLovesAutumn · 28/10/2012 17:04

Member - how old is your DD?

member · 28/10/2012 17:07

Eleven, just started Yr7

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 28/10/2012 17:09

I used to watch all of them (EE, Brookie, Emmerdale, Corrie) when each one was only twice a week (and I didn't have the DCs) now it's only Corrie although I'm off work sick at the moment and have succombed to Doctors hoping to shake that off when I return to work.

Just can't keep up with them all and I think the quality has suffered with so many episodes. Corrie was the first one I ever started watching, about when Nick was born and it is definitely the best despite all the ludicrous storylines in the last few years

MrsjREwing · 28/10/2012 17:10

Now does Chesney's breathing get on anyone elses nerves?
