i thought it was the best grand designs ever.

pacy build, lots going wrong, magic transformation of massive, beautifully made building.

nice owners whose ethos i could relate to (even though budget was very seat-of-pants and at the same time beyond dreams of avarice!)

i loved the way they just carries on 'squatting' on the yard around to get the build finished!

it would make a fabulous boutique hotel, though i doubt it would be disability legislation compliant (they looked embarrassingly close in that lift, didn't they?). Though if they did have a child, wouldn't you live in the cube bit mostly?

GD-fans, you have GOT to go and have a squizz at 'Grand Designs Australia' on 4od!!! different presenter but you can still play Kevin bingo. We've just watched N episode with an artist/sculptor and web designer in Yellingbo. Slightly disconcerted that he looks like a love child product of Ken Barlow and Brian Sewell but they are a nice couple and the build is special. Should be getting my stuff ready for tmrw but were just startingo another episode...

MousyMouse · 23/10/2012 21:52

I'm going to watch it in bed (feeling a bit under the weather) and I can't MN from the bedroom. So I'll catch up in the morning! [hgrin]

Green with envy

MousyMouse · 24/10/2012 21:12

no building. just a studio flat + basement of a georgian? artists mansion. in holland park/london.
last week's build was cheap in comparison (I suspect).

MousyMouse · 24/10/2012 21:13
