Any big Downton fans out there who can tell me what happened in the very last episode of series 2 and also the Xmas special? Tryin to get ready for the new series on Sunday but is there anything else I missed? (apart from Lady Mary and Matthew getting together that is)

So someone does have it in for Anna and Bates. I wonder who is powerful enough to do that and bothered enough to care?

And a nice bit of forshadowing for Edith, she's going to get political. And Mary will be barren

How old do you think Anna is meant to be, and Bates? They look about 30 years apart to me. Joanna Froggatt always looks very young though.

I'd say he's meant to be about forty five now and she's about twenty eight to thirty.

Anna around 30, a couple of years older than Mary I think. Bates is only mid-late 40s.
