God I used to love WL but thought it was shite! What a disappointment, and very short on Scottish accents - do they really expect us to believe that all these children would just be sent up to Scotland - and where are they all staying? Or am I taking it all a bit too seriously?![hmmm]

PTA I used to think I was the only one from Greenock too lol :)
It was strange seeing everything like the tontine and the spinnaker didn't go to the school went to the other one too lol x

I live nearby too. I thought it was strange seeing the town, the hospital was obviously filmed in the school too with the views behind . I didn't really enjoy the programme but didn't watch it before so I'm not sure if that's how it always was. The Esplanade looked nice though.

mum47 I agree about the Scottish accents. If the neighbouring Head is worried about losing his students you'd think they would be in evidence.

I only started watching this at the end of last series - we watch it agape, sneering, it is ludicrous isn't it? So anyway, wasn't up to speed on all the characters yet, so working out who had died in the crash was a bit like Mortality Kim's Game....

So. That bad lad has gone from crash victim with such serious injuries as to render him permanently paralysed, to competent wheelchair user in mainstream education in six weeks, presumably?

Is the Business Woman going to live at the school too, or what? Whoop yeah, give it up for the headteacher guys, all 17 of you .....

And how did they bring the stained glass windows?

They have less idea about schools that Michael Gove!

I don't live in Greenock, but I go to the big tesco in Port Glasgow, and recognised some of the locations they were using - if I can't be in the Greenock quiche, could I be a near neighbour of the Greenock quiche?

realism was never the strong point of Waterloo Road anyway! I love it for the escapism and the opportunity for cathartic shouting at the screen! I enjoyed it.

It looks like part of next week's episode was filmed at Castle Semple, Lochwinnoch - we've walked our dogs there.

They were filming a football match at the Battery Park in Greenock yesterday. They definitely were going to be filming a canoeing scene, could be Castle Semple!

I'm pretty sure it was - but I deleted the episode, so I can't get dh to watch the trailer and tell me how right I am!

It's not as good as it used to be. Most of the decent characters have gone. They need to axe daniela denby-ashe, she is a crap actress.
