Here we are, a new home for the second week. Smile

Rafa will be sorely missed. Sad

Rooting for Roger.

Could there/will there be more upsets ? If last week is anything to go by, is this years Wimby anyone's for the taking ?

When I was little, before i got the tennis bu
g, I used to love Wimbledon fortnight. it didn't bother me that we couldn't watch Rainbow- for 2 blissful weeks, my usually house proud mother didn't move from the sofa (apart from the middle Sunday when she cleaned from top to bottom). it was great to live in a relaxed tip (by her standardsGrin).

JackieandJudy · 02/07/2012 12:44

Oh yes, good idea about jet lag - perhaps I can persuade him he has it, even if he hasn't! I've been distracted a bit by the 50 Shades of Grey thread, so funny. Think one of us should go over and introduce a bit of Wimbledon into it!

I can get some red button matches on 301, do you have that MaryZ?

They'll have to show Tsonga when he gets to the finalGrin

RaahhfaNadalsmyToyboy · 02/07/2012 12:55

Good work on the '50 Shades' thread, JackieGrin

JackieandJudy · 02/07/2012 13:00

Thank you Raahhfa, like others have said I feel the need to read the bloody thing now! Is anyone watching Schiavone/Kvitova?

Oh Mary, what a selfless gesture. I'm not prepared to share (but don't have to at the moment fortunately as they're all at school).

JackieandJudy · 02/07/2012 13:07

Ha ha ha. Were you watching the warm up to the Sharapova match just then? The male commentator (not sure who he is) just said "Tracy Austin, who is sitting beside me ...", and at the same time the camera panned to a little old lady dressed in red, as if that was who Tracy Austin was!

Sorry, it was funny to see but lost something in the telling!

uselesslife · 02/07/2012 13:15

something strange has happened to my tv

I am watching Federer/Malisse, but the commentary is for Istomin/Youzhny

JackieandJudy · 02/07/2012 13:17

Maybe the Beeb have mixed something up, someone's pressed the wrong button perhaps? Is it sorted now?

JackieandJudy · 02/07/2012 13:33

I think I have been possessed by the spirit of a thwarted writer, I have just added to the shades grey of thread yet again. Raahhfa, you might find it interesting. Back to Roger ....

JackieandJudy · 02/07/2012 13:36

Mrs F is texting Rog to ask him what he's playing at.

JackieandJudy · 02/07/2012 13:37

Malisse is having a snooze.

Have I scared everyone off? Sorry if I have. Please come back.

uselesslife · 02/07/2012 13:37

yeah, it's fixed now, wasn't my tv though, I tried it a couple of times

CremeEggThief · 02/07/2012 13:38

Here you all are! :)

My red button is playing up too, so watching Kvitova and Schiavone for now, until BBC1 coverage kicks in too. Schiavone is doing very well, but can she pull it off?

JackieandJudy · 02/07/2012 13:38

Ooh dear, hope Rog is ok. He reminds me of my brother (cept my brother can't play tennis to save his life).

CremeEggThief · 02/07/2012 13:45

Really worried about Roger too :(! It's almost unheard of for him to call for the trainer, let alone the DOCTOR!

JackieandJudy · 02/07/2012 13:48

He does look a bit subdued doesn't he? Or am I just imagining that.

AnyOtterForTennis · 02/07/2012 13:52

Just turned on. What's happening? Is Rog hurt?

JackieandJudy · 02/07/2012 13:58

He went off for some medical attention, and there was some speculation that he needed painkillers, possibly for his lower back.

JackieandJudy · 02/07/2012 14:00

Think the painkillers have kicked in ....

JackieandJudy · 02/07/2012 14:04

I do love John, he's a great commentator. He would be an amusing dinner companion I feel.
