Seeing the Chelsea Pensioners just then reminded me of something I heard on the radio on the way home. Not sure who was doing the main commentary but he had Mark Woodforde (I think) and Jeff Tarango with him. Main commentary man commented that there were some of Roger's hardcore fans in the corner of the crowd on Centre Court as they were all dressed in red and white.

Jeff said "Those guys down there?"

Commentary man said "Er, no. Those are the Chelsea Pensioners".

I'm not entirely sure if Jeff was serious or not ....

I heard one of them make a quip anout the fed fans in red and white- 'off duty Santa's' he called them

Jeff Tarango was definitely a bad tempered player, if ever there was one!

I think he's one of the Wimbledon Stewards, possibly Chief Steward. They did a little feature on them on one of this week's Today at Wimbledon programmes.

Just checked my FB and I see that today is one of the days my little sister is at Wimbers. She's got Court One tickets today as she's seen the Querry, Shriekipova, Clijsters and now she's watching the Gasquet match.

Sorry but my attention was away from the tennis on the TV for a little bit. At what point did Benneteau actually win the first set? What's going on? I'm confused.
