Am going to try to watch, but DS was in Intensive Care there last year, so I may find it too close to home. What a place.

I have a thread somewhere and I bump it everyso often. Thats how I have got so much sponsership - MN has been amazing!

ripsishere · 14/05/2012 16:55

But you need to keep bumping it. The way I am so discreetly doing.
MN has been amazing to you, you amazing woman.

Just got around to watching last week's episode. Watching Chiane's parents weighing up her treatment options knowing the prognosis is so poor was one of the most harrowing things I've seen. Just awful.

WithACherryOnTop · 15/05/2012 20:54

Will anyone else be watching tonight's episode which is on in five minutes? This episode is based in the general surgery unit.

giraffesCantGoPotholing · 15/05/2012 20:57

Oi mrsD how did I not know about your page? Eh? Eh?

WithACherryOnTop · 15/05/2012 21:11

Poor girl. Little wonder she was in pain. That was one huge tumour.

eggyblackett · 15/05/2012 21:24

God this is heartbreaking.

OhDoAdmitMrsDeVere · 15/05/2012 21:32

Thank you.
I iwll be pestering people again in a few weeks Smile

WithACherryOnTop · 15/05/2012 21:32

It is.Poor baby having to go through so much,an ordeal that would be incredibly difficult for any adult, and he's just been born.

I feel for Sebastian and his mother too. They're understandably terrified.Signing that paper can't be easy,no matter how necessary you know the surgery to be.

eggyblackett · 15/05/2012 21:36

What an amazing boy he is though - he still has his sense of humour.

WithACherryOnTop · 15/05/2012 21:49

Poor Sebastian.How unfair.

Notcontent · 15/05/2012 21:51

Oh no, this is horrendous. Modern medicine is great, but so much can go wrong.

moggiek · 15/05/2012 21:55

Poor Sebastien.

swearytramp · 15/05/2012 21:56

that is just so so sad. What lovely doctors though :(

eggyblackett · 15/05/2012 22:00

That was very, very sobering and sad. What a lovely surgical team though.

WithACherryOnTop · 15/05/2012 22:18

How terrible for everyone. Sebastien, his family, the surgeons and staff who obviously cared deeply for him. And that poor baby.

The surgeons were amazing. They can't save everyone, but they give them every chance. They seemed like such compassionate people too. They should be proud of the incredible, and very difficult, job they do.

Wonderful to hear some very positive news about the other two children featured.

giraffesCantGoPotholing · 15/05/2012 22:25

:(

fluffypillow · 15/05/2012 22:26

So difficult to watch Sad. Sebastien seemed such a lovely kid, so unfair. That little baby too, so much to go through in such a short little life Sad.

Amazing people working at G.O.S, they obviously care so much.

MrsJoeDuffy · 15/05/2012 22:33

Mr Kiely is amazing. He separated conjoined twins from my hometown last year. Just astonishing what they can do.

Horsemad · 15/05/2012 23:11

Sad, but uplifting too. Amazing medical teams.
